I will tell you where they will stand... They will be on the side of the US Constitution. Most of them have families here in the states, wives and children, do you think they don’t know what is going on?
I am so sick and tired of people assuming they know what is going on with these contractors. Quit reading all the BS that the MSM puts out!
Have there been a few bad apples....yes none of you know the jobs that they do and the amount of time they spend “outside the wire” basically with nothing but their own skills!
There was a time I wondered about the “money” aspect of it, but over the years, I have come to understand that many of these guys have a hard time coming back here an listening to the whining that goes on. They miss the bond of being with those that they have shared experiences with. A good many of them were involved in the start of Afghanistan back in 2002 and have done multiply tours in a military capacity.
You would be surprised how many do come home for a time and you are standing right next to them at Home Depot, the grocery store or watching a ball game in a bar or he may be that guy sitting next to you in class.
They are not maniacs! They have seen so much more, they do play an important role in what is going on, much more than the media gives them credit for. They are highly skilled and their skills don’t necessarily translate to jobs here in the states, but most of all they have very strong bonds that bring them back.
Thanks panthermom,
Most do not have a clue.
Czar..read panthermom’s post...then reread it.
Memorize it...and absorb it.
Amen to that.
Well stated.
My question has nothing to do with any assumptions of mine regarding Blackwater; if anything, those assumptions lead me to believe that, yes, they would defend the Constitution rather than the poseur in the White House. But the belief will have to wait for the reality before we really know. For the record, I pay no attention whatever to anything said, written or otherwise flacked by the drive-by media.
I agree with your view of the Blackwater people. As far as I'm concerned they are heroes who should not have to put up with politically correct show trials. Of course, neither should Navy Seals. But that's the kind of world in which our warriors must operate today, which makes one wonder why more of them don't wash their hands of it entirely.
