At least a handful of of Florida’s 5 million registered Democrats plan to vote for Independent Senate candidate Charlie Crist. The Daily Caller spoke to five who belong to a Facebook group called “Democrats for Charlie Crist for Senate 2010,” which has a total of 91 members, about their reasons for supporting the former Republican.
All say they can’t abide Marco Rubio winning, and not one has a lick of faith in Democratic Senate candidate Kendrick Meek.
Not all five Democrats are happy voting for Crist... “Crist is a lightweight conservative but personable and a people pleaser,”... “He will do less harm in D.C. than extreme right-wing Rubio.” Meek is OK, she says, but he “does not have a chance of winning this year — and he’s too young for the Senate, too.”

Are they going to get Meek to drop out and make Crist the Dem (by default) candidate?
It appears that “hatred” for the so-called right-wing candidate is the common theme.
(Wonder what happened to all that “fairness” and open-mid they claim to have?
They don’t have to explain, I know why. It’s because they are afraid of conservatives.
Similar to the Connecticut plan recently done in reverse with Joe ?
You know, I like this. I like this a lot.
Lest we forget, Meek is black and the racism of the Democrats is going to come to a head, especially with immigration in the mix.
I think Crist is trying to run as the Democrat. I think that he hopes that Meek will drop out or be forced out or bribed out.
One thing Obama does not like is an independent black man. That’s his schtick. He’ll tolerate black politicians, as long as they work for him.
And yet there are probably Republicans who really liked Crist and are upset he won’t be representing them. Never mind that Democrats like him so much they prefer him to their own ass hat clown.
IMO, this is the single largest obstacle confronting the future of the Republican party.
Too many idiots in our party haven’t a clue what RINOs are doing to it.
Well, in Florida at least, evidently the majority of Republicans have seen the light. Excellent.
That didn’t take long. Democrats are going to ensure that Christ wins...everyone on Free Republic knew this was happening.

There is no similarity between the Florida race and the races in MA and NJ. Crist has a very good chance to win by getting back-door RAT support. He can peel off a lot of Dem voters who don’t really want to vote for a black. Believe it or not, I actually know some Republicans who are sticking with Crist. Sad.
sadly, according to Rass this morning, Crist’s internal polls are correct, he is in the lead now.

Well sure. The rabble right, joins the rabble left and rabble independent for one big happy leftist jubilee. One group does it because he truly represents them, and two groups do it because they couldn’t find a glue if it was glued to their forehead.
This is what Republican leadership intransigence leads to.
I’m sure they’re happy as little larks in Florida, jumping up and down in Republican leadership central. Oh Charlie Crist is our guy... we’re so happy.
If I’m mischaracterizing your state’s RP leadership, it’s only because mine is so confoundingly mired in this mindset.
Like I’ve been saying for weeks, Crist will steal Dem votes. The Dims will not win this seat.
Why do people keep spelling Crist with an H?
The reasons the Democrats love Charlie Crist.
1) Charlie has always been one of us at heart.
2) Even when he said he would never run as an Independent we knew he was lying and we love a good liar.
3) We really don’t want a Black guy at the top of our ticket (it’s bad for busniess).
4)Charlie doesn’t stand for a damned thing and he’s against drilling in the Gulf like us.
5) Charlie hugged our hero Barack.
