MCCAIN: Look, Arizona is under siege in many respects. We have broken borders. We have people flooding across. We have drug cartels inflicting incredible damage. We have Phoenix, Arizona is the kidnapping capital of the world, second only to Mexico City.
And the legislature and the governor acted out of frustration because the federal government will not fulfill its responsibilities. I have said for years we have to secure the borders. We have to get the National Guard down there. We have to build a fence which I've said for years. We have to use surveillance and we have to have additional troops down there to start with the National Guard and then 3,000 additional Border Patrol.

MCCAIN: And every nation has the obligation to secure its borders. If you don't secure the borders then we're like a hamster in a wheel and people will be keep coming illegally. And finally, I remind you back in the 1980s under Ronald Reagan we gave amnesty to two million people on the proviso we would secure the border.
HANNITY: Hasn't happened.
MCCAIN: We gave the amnesty.
HANNITY: Alright.
MCCAIN: We didn't secure the border.

Yes, it IS your fault, John.
Eschew JUAN and the JUANnabies.
Who are you and what have you done with Senator McCain?
McCain’s been senator from AZ for what, 128 years now and today he suddenly realized there is a problem at the border?
Even if his sudden conversion was sincere—which it isn’t—he’s too danged stupid to be reelected.

You’re absolutely rigfht Juan- and you had 24 years to do something about it...
I will go to my grave believing that this clown was a shill for “The Divine One!” Hopefully, the people of Arizona will throw this abomination out.
Yes, John, it is your fault. Now, what are you going to do about it? Are you going to play more point-the-finger and pity-me or are you going to pick up the big stick and use it?

Does the state of Arizona not have its own National Guard? Why not call out the State Militia???
I sure hope the people of Arizona are paying enough attention to not fall for this sh*t.
It’s a shame that we have to wait so long before the primary.
Could there be danger in his losing the primary in that he would push through a shamnisty bill since there would be no electoral consequences for him?
Not that he really cares what any of his constituents or the American people think.
Bound, gagged and stuffed in stuffed in a closet until after the election. Too bad we can’t leave him there and keep this doppelganger.
Ah, the Hayworth Effect works its magic on Juan McLame.
McCain will do a 180 come August 25 ;-)
fyi
He’s only coming out now because he knows the people are pissed. Where was he for the last 10 years on the subject?
Agree 100% - regardless of primary outcome.
John McCain is everywhere now preaching the gospel of secure borders. Hes inescapable. And shameless. And desperate.
Yesterday, readers forwarded his latest spam e-mail:
Where do you stand on border security?
My Friend,
One of the fundamental responsibilities of our government is to secure our borders so that our citizens, no matter where they live in our country, can be safe and secure....
