Isn’t this why zero nominated her...she’s a woman so is immune from criticism for her lack of experience and her leftist positions? Who understands immunizing oneself better than the mulatto won?

Nope, people who failed to defend the relatively conservative Bush administration and let the left trash it with impunity and push the squishy moderates to the left for one election are the reason we got Obama. This includes people here who were constantly trashing Bush because they did not agree with every single thing he did. I suspect that includes you, so congratulations for giving us Obama.

As for Ms. Bush, I see she learned nothing from her mother-in-law saying equally stupid things in 1992.

I’ll give her credit—she had me fooled. And she was quiet and classy enough as a first-lady that I never imagined she was not worthy of the respect I was giving her.

This is exactly how we got into this mess. Superficial reasons for backing a nominee. We live in a lazy society. Don’t bother looking behind the lipstick on the pig or the bow on the tail.

Most Americans don’t have a clue as to the vicious radical agenda of the “dem” party

Set up...my ass. There is always a way out of a set up but it does require thinking. No...out of the mouth proceedeth the thoughts of the heart.

Never will I see Laura Bush the same. And Kaslin...bless your heart...stop posting the island of sanity because it was all a front. These people had as much regard for us and our country as Benedict Arnold.

Whatever. George Bush brought the disdain upon himself. I voted for him twice considering the alternatives but consider him to be and was a miserable failure as president.

The key person who didn’t defend the Bush administration’s policies was W himself. He should have gone on the attack against the MSM immediately after the 2000 election was kept from being stolen by Gore and against Mayor Nagin, Governor Blanco and the MSM immediately after the Katrina flooding occurred. Quite frankly, the city and state of Louisiana had primary responsibility for NO’s legions of drones—not the federal government.

“I think she sounds like a very interesting and good nominee,” Bush said of Sonia Sotomayor, the federal appeals judge Obama picked.

Mrs. Bush said in an interview broadcast Monday on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that “as a woman, I’m proud that there might be another woman on the court. I wish her well.”

Yes Laura, Jiang Qing (wife of Mao) leader of the Gang of Four murderers, might also have been just another woman on the court you could be proud of (an Asian no less and also a “consensus builder”, albeit the hard way),

but thankfully she's dead.

I remember once during the election in 2000 a journalist asked Laura if she thought her husband was a born again christian. She said she didn’t think so like it was something shameful or something.

seems odd she is doing the Media rounds now. -- Also on Fox

--On Fox News this morning, former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said President Obama “should withdraw” Elena Kagan’s Supreme Court nomination. While calling her an “anti-military” nominee for upholding Harvard’s policy of prohibiting employers who discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation, Gingrich got side-tracked for a moment and engaged in a Harvard-bashing critique:

On the one hand, Harvard accepts money from Saudis. Saudi Arabia, by the way, executes homosexuals. Saudi Arabia represses women. Saudi Arabia does not allow Christians or Jews to practice their religion, but Saudi money is fine.

"I voted for him twice considering the alternatives but consider him to be and was a miserable failure as president."

He certainly was a miserable failure as a Republican president, but I wouldn't necessarily call him a miserable failure, generally, as a president. Think about Jimmy Carter, if want you want miserable failure.

Bush was so remarkably inept as a communicator, he damaged the Republican brand in such a way that it will be felt for a generation. You have to go back to Nixon to find a comparable example. The fact of the matter is if it weren't for Carter's misery index, it may have been many more years before a Republican could have supplanted the memory of Nixon in the political zeitgeist of America.

Exactly...out of her mouth spewed forth what she truly feels (in addition to liberalism being a mental disorder).
