Somethings are just too incredible to believe unless you see it for yourself. Well what we have here is Shelby County (TN) Commissioner Steve Mulroy being interviewed by a TV reporter. While the camera is rolling, a panhandler walks up to the commissioner, tells him to keep his mouth shut and to hand over $2.00.
After the commissioner refused to give him the money, the panhandler then demanded that the politician have two dollars for him every time he sees him. The whole incident is only funny after the fact because there was no physical violence. As you will see, the commissioner is obviously caught off guard by the whole incident. I must admit that Mulroy handled the whole extortion attempt quite admirably for a politician.
If I threatened my county commissioner, or any public figure like this guy did, I would have been arrested in a heart beat. If the guy was just down on his luck then alright I feel for the guy, but this guy was an arrogant, piece of s*^@t that thinks the world owes him something. (Thanks to liberals like this Mulroy guy.)
Because this politician's liberal heart went out instead of taking care of the situation by at least reporting the guy then this guy is still on the street being a threat to others. What Mulroy did was not in the public interest nor anyone else that witnessed it.
This Democrat (I looked it up he is a liberal Democrat) was more interested in his political aspirations, and the reporter was too worried about getting her story. This kind of Liberal approach to crime is why America is so screwed up.
This guy does not need a hand out, or a hand up. He needs a swift kick in the ass. If he wants a meal, well then send his ass down to the Sonoran Desert to clean up after the human waste coming from Mexico. Then maybe he can have a sandwich, and a glass of water, if he does a good job.......
Conservative—liberal who has just been mugged.
The man is deranged. Years of cheap wine will do that.
One thing I will never put up with is someone pointing their finger in my face or poking me in the chest, it sets me off in a bad way.
Unlike the finer and moderately priced to slighty more expensive chardonnays, cabernets and merlots that I drink of course.
I wonder how many of my friends and ex’s think I’m “deranged”?
It’s Shelby County TN and the guy is African-American.
End of discussion, he can’t be guilty of anything.
The Commissioner needs a “permit to carry”
“One thing I will never put up with is someone pointing their finger in my face or poking me in the chest, it sets me off in a bad way.”
I think the commissioner should have defended himself. I will not be touched. I consider it assault. This guy would have been on his back immediately.
The guy should have been arrested. Wonder how many kids he is supposed to be supporting?
I think I would have done something to this guy that would have put him in the hospital and me in jail.
Only the ones you try to shake down for $2.00.
This type of encounter was common 35 years ago, and is still common today. I used to work in Berkeley in the early ‘70s, and I still recall one such incident on Shattuck Avenue.
“Hey man! Gimme fitty cents!” he said. “Naw, man, you look like a brother! Gimme a dollah!”
To this day, I cannot figure out the logic to his reasoning. If there was any.
All he knew was that I was male, and white. And therefore, I owed him something, and pay day was here.
Don’t we have vagrancy and panhandling laws? Why aren’t they enforced?
When that sort of human debris tries that sort of nonsense with me here, they either end up out cold on the concrete or running away.
His huevitos are small indeed.
Used to be "got any change?"
Inflation's a beeyotch.
This is how most liberal whites treat non-whites ... like pathetic sub-species deserving pity. If the aggressive threatening pan handler had been white, the response would have been to call the cops and tell the guy in no uncertain terms “you can’t threaten someone on the street demanding money no matter how unfortunate your personal circumstances might be.”
But Hyphenated Americans get a pass. Like coddled pets, they get anything but treated as equal.
“Oh you poor thing, I’ll be extra super nice even though you are threatening and demanding.”
“Oh you poor thing, here’s some Affirmative Action.”
“Oh you poor thing, here are some minority set asides, hiring incentives, and scholarships.”
“Oh you poor thing, here are some open borders and relaxed workplace law enforcement.”
“Oh you poor thing, here is some phony misdirected rage at Arizona for daring to pass a law identical to other laws already on the books.”
