Steinitz: We Might Need to Retake Gaza, Destroy Hamas

Minister Yuval Steinitz of Likud warned Sunday that Israel may be forced to retake control of Gaza and topple the Hamas regime. In an interview with goverment-run Voice of Israel Radio, Steinitz said that Israel “will not tolerate” Hamas's growing rocket arsenal.

The minister's warning came two days after two Israeli soldiers were killed in a clash with terrorists in Gaza. Gaza terrorists have increased the frequency of their rocket attacks on southern Israel in recent weeks; several days ago, a rocket killed a Thai worker on a kibbutz [communal settlement].

Israel made a huge mistake by withdrawing from any of its captured territories. All that has happened has been more war and more death for innocent Israeli bystanders.

Israel needs to retake both Gaza and the west bank, then put all the Palestinians on buses and ship them across the Syria border and drop them off. End of problem.

Israel, again and again has given land areas to the enemy within or next door to their border... from their small amount of land in the mistaken idea it would result in peace.

The pressure of the U.N., individual nations and mainly America has pressured them through denying them new weapons and new planes, ammunition which is a must and supplies for repairing equipment on going.

They are in a very tough and impossible circumstance. They have had miracles from God protection and for the maintaining of their nation. Largely they are secular in Israel (I read, and hear).

Pray for the peace of Israel, its people, Jerusalem and the Muslims that seek to know God, in Jesus name, amen.
