You know, I hope not.
I like Newt...don’t get me wrong.
But he is so much better as a historian and as a talking head, he really ought to stay where he is.

I hate to burst anyone’s bubbles, but this is a non-starter IMHO. Gingrich may be a brilliant politician, but his personal negatives are too high to get very far. Someone needs to tell him straight up and save him some time and money.

No thanks.
That "carbon-loading the atmosphere" remark was the last straw for me...

Uh oh! This will not set well with a lot of people in these parts. Personally I like him, a lot. I toward him though like I am Sarah Palin. I like too much to see them get embroiled in a campaign. Tossing your hat in the ring in today's world of politics is a crap shoot. Or maybe more like playing Russian Roulette.
I think there are a lot of people, like Newt and Sarah, who could really enhance the candidacy of the right person without the risk of the personal destruction so many in the press and on the Left have planned if one of them runs.
Ronald Reagan proved the right person as president can make a huge difference to the world. Jimmy Carter proved anyone can become president. George H. Bush sorta showed us we don't really need a president. Obama is showing us it can dangerous to have a president.
I hope Newt stays out and provides his support to someone.

I have always been a Gingrich fan. He has more ideas in a morning than most pols have in a career, and many of them are good. And he's attentive to the tactics of persuasive presentation, in contrast to the legions of tone deaf Republicans who don't have a clue about how to present the necessary hard choices in a positive light. But Newt's personal negatives are too high.
If we had an Obama, we could put Newt into his teleprompter and that would be an ideal solution.

From Wikipedia:
Public Policy Polling (PPP) is an American, Democratic Party-affiliated polling firm . . .
The neutrality of PPP’s surveys has been questioned since the firm’s clients are exclusively Democratic-affiliated organizations, and because surveys on health care reform have included polarizing questions such as if respondents think President Barack Obama is the “Antichrist”.

We aren’t serious about him.

Gingrich looking delirious is more like it.

Newt,.....no! Stick a fork, you are done!!!
To: speciallybland
If they do nominate him, the Grand OLD Party will again pull defeat out of the jaws of victory.
The Dems will start unloading all the Gingrich baggage from the 90s, and Gingrich will lose the Electoral Vote by a greater margin than McCain's 2-1 loss in 2012.

Enough already!....Newt’s time has passed. He’s made some bad choices along the way that are just too much baggage.

Newt had his run, it is time to gracefully accept that and back another candidate. We need new blood and true conservatives for the 2012 election.
