Hayworth: Immigration bill about enforcement
KTAR ^ | May 31st, 2010 | Holliday Moore

PHOENIX - Former Arizona Congressman J.D. Hayworth stepped into the national spotlight to defend our the state's new immigration policy.

Considering the times, he says securing the borders and enforcing immigration status is the first line of defense for America's security.

When asked on NBC's Meet the Press about allowing illegal immigrants to pay a fine and legally apply for U.S. citizenship, Hayworth says Americans aren't for it. "Apart from party distinction, Americans want to see laws enforced and they don't want to see amnesty."

He says the events of 9/11 convinced him to reassess Republican support for a guest worker program.

Insisting Arizona officers are being trained to fairly assess who is here legally, Hayworth made a prediction. "We don't breed a culture of convenience, we breed a culture of law and order and I dare say that people are pleased to show, when called upon as law abiding citizens, that they are here legally."

He says police have always asked for identification when enforcing the law with anyone they stop. Hayworth believes that fact is being buried in political rhetoric. "There's been a concerted effort to shift this from a question of enforcement, which is a sound public policy priority we should have, to a question of ethnicity."

Hayworth is running against several other Senate hopefuls, including incumbent John McCain whom the former congressman claims supports amnesty.

If white people had an organization called “The Race”, do you think Juan would speak at its’ conference?

If this info gets into general circulation, it’ll be the end of him.

A good thing, I think.

John McCain whom the former congressman claims supports amnesty

Way to support McCain, Holliday Moore. You know for a fact, if you'd do the research, that John McCain supports amnesty. There's no good reason to make it look like an accusation on the part of JD, except to make him look bad.

“When asked on NBC’s Meet the Press about allowing illegal immigrants to pay a fine and legally apply for U.S. citizenship,”

This has been bugging me BIG-TIME. So what happens when you find that 70% of the illegals do not have the (reported) income or wealth to pay the fine? Ahhhh, a hardship clause...so the fine only really applies to those who want to pay it.

Next, let’s say no hardship clause, then what’s to stop ACORN, using extorted corporate money, to pay the fines on their behalf.

How about this...screw the joke fines - instead make them do something like 5 years of community service for minimum wage (at most). Then see what happens.

Arizona Cong Grijalva and Ohaha.

DOING MEXICO'S BIDDING----BLOCKING ARIZONA'S NEW LAW Arizona Democrat Congressman Raul Grijalva , The National Coalition of Latino Clergy and Christian Leaders, the American Civil Liberties Union and the Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund, US Attorney General Eric Holder, Andrew Chavez, head of a Phoenix-based petition-circulating firm and chairman of the One Arizona referendum campaign. State Rep. Ben Miranda, a Phoenix Democrat who will serve as the local attorney on the case. At least three Arizona cities also are considering lawsuits to block the law. Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon retained legal counsel to prepare a lawsuit to file on behalf of the city. Tucson leaders and Flagstaff City Councilman Rick Swanson also are considering their options to block the law.

=========================================

REFERENCE U.S. Rep. Steve King. " I’m wondering if we look at the map of Arizona Congressman Grijalva’s congressional district, if we haven’t already ceded that component of Arizona to Mexico, judging by the voice that comes out of Grijalva. Grijalva’s advocating for Mexico rather than the United States and against the rule of law, which is one of the central pillars of American exceptionalism. Grijalva believes Arizona's new law, which requires law enforcement officials to demand papers from anyone they suspect is in the country illegally, is racist and does little more than “propagate the idea separate but equal treatment under the law can be codified,” Grijalva said.

=======================================

ACTION NOW Arizonans should act now. Arizona elected officials under oath like Grijalva and the aforementioned who challenge the will of the people----that won’t enforce the new immigration law----are using public funds to aid and abet felonies against Arizona (and other US citizens).
