Barack Obama has for the second year in a row issued a proclamation declaring June "Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Pride Month." While prior to his leaving office President George W. Bush issued a Sanctity of Life Day proclamation for 2009, such a proclamation was rejected by President Obama for 2010.
The first proclamation of National Sanctity of Human Life Day was made by in 1984 by President Ronal Reagan and repeated annually. The tradition was continued by President George H. W. Bush, suspended during the eight year term of President Bill Clinton, and resumed under President George W. Bush.

Can we get a "National Normal People Pride" month? Or is that too "insulting" to those that aren't? I think I'm qualified. Obviously, 0bama isn't "Normal."
Of course, if you had a march or gathering of "normal people," it would look like a Tea Party and the media wouldn't cover it!

I guess white people just haven't done enough for our country to deserve their own month. I mean, you'd think founding the country, writing the Constitution and ending slavery would count for something. But what do I know? I'm a white guy.
