What a strange question? Who's going to order the federal government to do something? The UN?
love some of those comments, one deluded fool saying bozo is the best president ever, others having a go at the questioning of their messiah

Moonbats on parade in the comments there!
As I’m reading the responses to that poll, it struck me that the boneheads who continue to blame Bush/Cheney for everything are still poking fun at the FEMA Director during Hurricane Katrina, Michael Brown.
And yet the Obama administration has been so inept in responding to the situation in the Gulf that NOBODY from Obama’s team has stepped forward to say they are in charge!
There is nobody to blame BECAUSE NOBODY HAS THE BALLS TO TAKE CHARGE!!!!
It’s almost impossible not to respond to the hand wringing Leftist over there, but what a waste of time that would be.
Those people are apoplectic concerning Obama’s lack of leadership. Excuses a plenty...
One said, “We didn’t hold Bush’s feet to the fire... ...with regard to Katrina.” You’ve got to see the humor in that one.
Others were saying, “What should Obama do, I mean really?” Well, what was Bush to do, I mean really?
Others were carping about how unfair the questions were. They seemed simple enough to me. I didn’t see them as being unfair, because you could answer no to them to get Obama off the hook.
Then there was this gem.
IF we listen to the GOP these are our choices:
1)Lower taxes and smaller government with limited leadership that allows industry to write its own rules that are backed up by taxpayer funded bailouts.
OR
2) Higher taxes to fund bigger government that is capable of bailing out private industries when they are incompetent to deal with problems they cause?
The GOP doesnt care about America or our health and safety. They are only capable of playing politics and have no real ideas, as usual. Ideology is not what America needs now. The BP-Tansocean-Halliburton disaster is a perfect example of why we need to regulate all industries more closely and protect the environment and the Amercian public from those who seek only to profit from it.
Wow! And how was that related to Obama’s leadership? Talk about avoidance...
Another brain trust offered up this gem...
Youre rating Obama on this??? You gotta be kidding. Ive got two words for ya.
Bush/Cheney.
I don’t want to burn the eyes of anyone here, so I’ll leave it at that. It’s a real brain trust over there.
At some point, even a Leftist must see what a bunch of idiots they have for fellow travelers.
He's trying to use it for political gain, and can't figure out exactly how to do it.
FREEP THIS POLL ***PING!*** FRmail me if you want to be added or removed from the Fearless Poll-Freeping Freepers Ping list. And be sure to ping me to any polls that need Freepin', if I miss them. (looks like a medium volume list) (gordongekko909, founder of the pinglist, stays on the list until his ghost signs up for the list)
Not enough. Not enough to make it look like he's done enough.
A crises is a terrible thing to waste. If you pre-empt a crises, what good is that?
How are we supposed to “Freep” this, exactly? I, for one, think Obama’s response was for the most part just fine. At least insofar as the main criticism against him (i.e. that he ignored it for too long) is concerned. Presidents are not supermen. I don’t want them puffing up their chests at every opportunity, nor meddling in every little thing.
As for what he’s been doing behind the scenes, and the public lashing out against BP, that’s no good.
