PHOENIX (AP) - John McCain's primary rival has released a Web video criticizing the Arizona senator for opposing tax cuts and supporting a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants.

Former congressman J.D. Hayworth's campaign released the Web video on Friday, a week after McCain began airing television ads criticizing Hayworth for supporting special funding requests known as earmarks.

Hayworth's ad touts his work on tax cuts signed by President George W. Bush and criticizes McCain for opposing them. It closes with a narrator saying McCain "cares more about keeping his job in Washington than fighting for our jobs in Arizona."

It's not a 'job' for McCain in Washington, it's his life. Arizona is just an occasional nuisance to John McCain, Global Thinker. Every now and then McCain has to explain the 'Big Picture' to the backward, salt of the earth, little people of Arizona. Now and then, great Grandfatherly, hold their trembling little hands. Stuff like that.

Love the end when they are asking Arizonans what McCain has done for Arizona.

He should enumerate all these items a commenter on the AZ Star listed:

“Reasons I won’t vote for McCain;

1) He is an incumbent, and partly responsible for the
mess this country is in.
2) McCain/Feingold, recently found unconstitutional
by the Supreme Court.
3) McCain/Kennedy, proposed amnesty for illegals.
4) McCain/ ?Feinstein??, Cap and Trade tax.
5) Shady past, ie; Keating 5 Savings & Loan debacle.
6) Near total neglect of Southern Arizona.
7) I hold him personally responsible for obama’s
election. He ran such a poor presidential campaign
he must have been trying to lose.”

Is JD putting any of these ads on TV for greater exposure?

He needs contributions. McCain has all the money sewed up in Arizona.
