D*mnit! What the hell are the parties supposed to be if they can’t control their own primary election?

I guess now we’ll go to a caucus or insider-controlled system.

Can the Republicans get around this by changing from a primary to a caucus to select candidates?

Another RINO victory.

Another California bad idea that will spread across the country.

This is BAD really BAD news!!!! Why didn’t the CA Republican Party spend enough dough to defeat this?

What a bunch of idiots we have in CA. I was sure this wouldn’t pass. How the he** is a party supposed to get the Candidates elected if you can’t even declare the party on the ballot. I think this is like a lot of other initiatives, the people failed to read the damned thing and don’t know what is in it.

We’ll just have to use it against them.

That’s true, wait until the first election where two republicans win the same primary. The left will scream like squashed p***ies.

CA propositions are written very very deceptively, obviously on purpose. I mean, we’re plenty stupid out here, don’t get me wrong, but in the past 2 elections the language in the voter’s manual was incomprehensible for a few of the props. In this case, it truly worked. One would have to have considerable political insight to decode the sinister intent behind prop 14, written as it was “open primary”....I mean, who wouldn’t want an “open” primary?

At some level, one has to wonder whether an ordinary citizen, neither nobel prize winner nor idiot, should be able to comprehend these props. My opinion is, they should. The props should NOT be written in reverse trans-English legalese (like much of the health care bill was) This time, the title of the prop worked. I have to admit, I tended to be for this one before it was explained to me.

Weird. Top two run against each other. Two ‘RATS could end up running against each other. Those wacky Californians. I can see why they want all drugs legalized.

In a bankrupt state where Democrats rule, this measure now makes it possible for 2 candidates from the same party to advance to the general election. Hmmmm.. Sounds like the Republicans become extinct under this change in the law.

P.S. Arnold is a sell-out and an azz. He is partially responsible for this and it helps the Dems not the Repubs. Thanks AGAIN, Arny.

{CA Secretary of State} Bowen: 'Army of lawyers' ready if Prop 14 passes

I hate the results as much as the next Conservative here, but the people of California have spoken, and if this measure is overturned they will in effect stifle the will of the majority of voters.

And by lawyering up and trying to defeat Prop 14, it gives ammo to the left trying to defeat the gay marriage ban in California.
