The distance between the president and the people is beginning to be revealed.
The deepening notes of disenchantment with Barack Obama now issuing from commentators across the political spectrum were predictable. So, too, were the charges from some of the president's earliest enthusiasts about his failure to reflect a powerful sense of urgency about the oil spill.
There should have been nothing puzzling about his response to anyone who has paid even modest critical attention to Mr. Obama's pronouncements. For it was clear from the first that this president—single-minded, ever-visible, confident in his program for a reformed America saved from darkness by his arrival—was wanting in certain qualities citizens have until now taken for granted in their presidents. Namely, a tone and presence that said: This is the Americans' leader, a man of them, for them, the nation's voice and champion. Mr. Obama wasn't lacking in concern about the oil spill. What he lacked was that voice—and for good reason.
Those qualities to be expected in a president were never about rhetoric; Mr. Obama had proved himself a dab hand at that on the campaign trail. They were a matter of identification with the nation and to all that binds its people together in pride and allegiance. These are feelings held deep in American hearts, unvoiced mostly, but unmistakably there and not only on the Fourth of July.

The stuff is hitting the fan for Obama. We need to impeach Obama, try him for treason and send him to Gitmo to rot.
This was an excellent article. Leaving aside the fact that he probably literally is an alien (not from outer space, but at least from outside the US!), he has absolutely no connection with this country or its people.
And being a part of a country and it’s culture is such a natural thing that you can’t fake it if it’s not real. That’s one of the reasons he comes across as so stiff, jerky and artificial in his speaking appearances.
I guess my respect for Dorothy Rabinowitz is gone. What is truly demented is thinking that such questions have been answered.

AMEN sister!! Well said. That man who holds the position of POTUS is not fulfilling the oath of office he took upon his inauguration, to protect and defend the USA. He is weakening the position of the USA around the world and making the terrorists act more boldly, thereby causing the USA to be more in harms way!!!
The oli spill—which obama is so “concerned” with that he parties with Paul McCartney—is a disaster!
But by far the GREATEST DISASTER we face is obama himself, and his disastrous policies, especially his unspeakably evil and vile death plan disguised as “health care reform”, and his poverty-inducing cap ‘n trade. At the same time, he is selling us out to the muslims, which is to be expected since he is a muslim.
Until we can get rid of obama and all his minions, and get ourselves out from under the rule of the banksters and the islamists who set obama up to be President in the first place, we and our posterity will be in deep, deep trouble!!!!
Barry has lost it. By his recent comment about kicking *** is showing he is running out of diversions. This type of behavior is wjhat he is used to using to get his way...thuggery. It worked so he could beat down his opponents. He had sealed records uncovered to shame people and win. The time has come that his true self is shown. No teleprompter to save him. America elected an irresponsible amateur and we have to do something about it.
Barry certainly is a mess. Tries to act like an American and he’s just a gangly dork. Tried to act Black and that too fails. He feigns street ways, but has never been on the street. He’s a pampered little Lord Fauntleroy, raised in luxury by his white GPs in Hawaii (yea, real street cred there) and then Indonesia in Muslim culture, then hung around with commies and other radicals his whole life. The media. The media. really let us down on this one.
Look on the bright side. Maybe she was only referring to Orly Taitz.

How about this for an ending: Obama finally departs Washington for Indonesia with the wife and kids. Upon arrival he formally resigns in front of the accompanying White House Press Corps. He leads the family down the steps of AF-1 into the welcome arms of waiting officials and is never seen or heard from again. AF-1 is refueled and as it departs the cameras are rolling showing Indonesia slowly receding into the distance. The End.

The fear of the regime headed by a communist dictator is evident.
We'll see a lot of fear before it all comes out in the open when Abu Ass decides NOT to run for reelection in '12. He wouldn't dare run when his name is excluded from some states' ballots by SoSs demanding to see proof of eligibility.
The potential humiliation will be too much to bear by such a thin-skinned usurper.

WSJ is finally figuring out that obama has no emotional connection or attachment to our (not his) country or it’s people. He is acting like an African dictator who uses his country as his personal plaything. Like it is his personal property to do with as he sees fit. Air Force 1 is his limo and on and on. Big example is how he turned the entryway of the White house into a shrine to himself. Even the lib ed schutz got creeped out over the way over the top adulation of him.
