I believe the opposite of good is not at it's essence evil but actually nothingness. God is I AM and God is good. Satan may well be trying to ultimately produce nothingness as he knows that he will suffer horribly in the lake of fire eternally and reasons that nonexistence would be preferable.

If he can cause God to fail, Satan reasons, existence will turn into chaos and chaos will ultimately be ripped apart and cause all things to ultimately cease to exist. These men may well be reasoning from the depraved “heart” of Satan.
