Well bust my sexual orientation bridges! I would never have surmised the deplorable inequities. I am sure there are some stimulus dollars to straighten the wretched conditions. I think that a Congressional inquiry, tax credits (refundable of course), and protected class preferences can normalize these unhealthy practices.

It would be interesting to see a broad study on what resources heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, and transvestites use.

My hunch is that heterosexuals would be using the least resources.

Doesn’t take a genius to discover that actions have consequences.

Oddly, they appeared to overlook the fact that male homos are the #1 vector for the spread of infectious diseases and incubators for antibiotic resistant microbes—this is the big issue, not obesity for crying out loud. You can’t infect other people with obesity or tobacco.

Whatever happened to AIDS anyway? When the homosexuals were looking for sympathy and public acceptance, AIDS was a big deal. Don’t hear much about it anymore. Weird.

Leftists will argue that it is because of bigotry and that we need more hate crimes laws to improve their general health.

It’s all about the y chromosome and testosterone levels. That explains the whole disparity. < /sarc >

See, see, see! Told you! Straight people really do discriminate against homosexuals!

Don’t you feel awful?

Now give us your tax money so we build monuments to our gayness.

Wait until they get to life expectancy.

Oh, wait, they don’t want to go there.

"What is very clear from this data is that risk factors for chronic health problems are prevalent among sexual minorities and need to be added to our list of concerns," said Conron. "In the short run, clinicians and public health agencies need to collaborate and implement culturally appropriate health interventions."

Kill more of the unborn and withdraw heath care from the elderly ..these poor perverts need the the health care $$$ more

I work for a restaurant company that places a high value on youth and diversity. My GM is gay, and we have two other managers who are gay and several gay employees. My GM who is very conservative and didn’t come out until well into his 30’s is the only gay person I’ve ever met who I didn’t think had at least some psychological issues. Of course he’s still a flaming liberal and displays a marked bias for his gay employees. That’s ok these days as it’s not a problem to discriminate against straight white guys. That being said, other than my boss, I’ve never met a gay person who didn’t have issues that seriously affected their life.

Does anyone else find the phrase “sexual minorities” an odd, er, coupling of words? I know what the writer means, but I hadn’t heard it phrased that way before. It also has a manipulative PC slant, trying to hop on the racism bandwagon by using the minority codeword.

I have a difficult time believing that a study intending to describe "health disparities" between homosexual and heterosexual men doesn't mention sexually transmitted diseases at all. Talk about political correctness!!! Name any sexually transmitted infectious disease whatsoever (there are dozens of them, AIDS being only the most topical in recent years) and it is virtually certain that its incidence in "gay" males is significantly higher than in their "straight" counterparts. Obviously, a "gay" lifestyle will increase a man's life insurance premiums markedly, if the risks are evaluated statistically in an objective manner.

The reasons for the wide statistical discrepancy in incidence of sexually transmitted diseases - and their resultant toll on life expectancy - are not hard to decipher with a little common sense and logic.

I don’t know about gay men, but in women with androgenizing syndromes they tend to have more male hormones and a higher rate of being lesbian. These syndromes also cause hirsitism and obesity.

Also, it might be because men hate ugly women so better a gal pal than no body...
