The distance between the president and the people is beginning to be revealed
The deepening notes of disenchantment with Barack Obama now issuing from commentators across the political spectrum were predictable. So, too, were the charges from some of the president's earliest enthusiasts about his failure to reflect a powerful sense of urgency about the oil spill.
There should have been nothing puzzling about his response to anyone who has paid even modest critical attention to Mr. Obama's pronouncements. For it was clear from the first that this president—single-minded, ever-visible, confident in his program for a reformed America saved from darkness by his arrival—was wanting in certain qualities citizens have until now taken for granted in their presidents. Namely, a tone and presence that said: This is the Americans' leader, a man of them, for them, the nation's voice and champion. Mr. Obama wasn't lacking in concern about the oil spill. What he lacked was that voice—and for good reason.
A great part of America now understands that this president's sense of identification lies elsewhere, and is in profound ways unlike theirs. He is hard put to sound convincingly like the leader of the nation, because he is, at heart and by instinct, the voice mainly of his ideological class. He is the alien in the White House, a matter having nothing to do with delusions about his birthplace cherished by the demented fringe.

exactly. clear to me when he was first running for president that this man was not presidential material nor an America honoring American.
It isn’t only that this man has no allegiance to the U.S., it is also that it has been obvious from day one that someone else is pulling the strings on this puppet and we don’t know who.

Saw Ms. Dorothy on Fox with Paul Gigot today. Didn’t catch that hateful opinion.
She is correct with her premise - the place of birth is not nearly as influential to his make-up as the people and places where he was indoctrinated. He was raised by America-hating communists and his Kenyan-British parentage is but another curse. Absent the American connection to his black DNA - he has no soul.
He means that it’s beginning for the 52% that voted for him. The rest of us already knew that he wasn’t black or white—only red.
Actually this guy is pretty typical of the sort who joins his Church led by Reverend Wright, and those who join the Islamic idiots led by Farrakhan.

Now: We can get into his background, his mother’s leaning toward any man that isnt white to sleep with, her leaving him with her mother to raise his socialism tutored by Frank Davis his crazy Grandfather and Grand mother , His decision to go with his black side. We can go through all that, the fatc is Obama doesnt like White people and is doing all he cn to put the screws to whites.
They said President Bush was incompetent and lied. Wrong. President Obama is incompetent and does lie. Daily.
Drives me nuts every time I hear Onada described as eloquent. If you listen to what he actually says he makes many grammatical errors.
In short, this thing called Onada is a complete and utter fraud.

I don’t believe he truly respects black Americans either - for he cannot relate to their suffering or hard-earned accomplishments. He is simply USING them. He is not a Martin Luther King Christian. He may be the biggest threat to Domestic Tranquility that we have witnessed in our lifetimes.

Well, Ms. Rabinowitz, those who focus upon his birthplace are deluded, by a deliberate campaign of misdirection, but in their suspicions of his allegiance to our nation and the people, they're less deluded than you.
We've had presidents who were of this mindset before. You might remember President William Jefferson Blythe Clinton, or perhaps not. For all his peccadilloes and for all his questionable forays onto the world stage, for all the wrongheaded attacks upon former allies due to a burgeoning favor cast in the Muslim direction, there was not such a profound sense of disconnect with him. He was never an alien to us.
Barack Hussein Obama II is an alien. We see it every day, in his every public utterance, in his disdain for you, for me and for everyone else who holds this country dear. He doesn't.
Our Founders knew such people well, themselves. Foreign princes and people of means, entering into countries and buying their way into positions of power and influence, to the utter detriment of those people. In that, they were quite prescient. They sought to preclude that for their new nation, to protect us. And that they largely did, until now.
And on to your delusion, Ms. Rabinowitz. You cling to the same elitist element that has you sneering about delusion among the common people, people who saw the problem almost immediately by comparison, a recognition that eluded those such as yourself, until now.
He's alien to us because he is. He never should have been President, because the Constitution does not allow it. He was legally subject at birth to another nation, and quite possibly was encumbered with legal entanglements to one or even two nations during the course of his childhood. He was not raised among the people, he was raised among people largely hostile to us.
And yet you sneer. Drop the pretension and see. Call for disclosure of public records pertaining to this ... this cipher imposed upon us. Publish the mounting evidence as to the semantic originalism of the Founders, and just what that means, for this alien among us, improbably installed in the White House, as well as his enablers in Congress and in the news media.
But, you won't. That's your in-crowd, your myopic little circle. You're not getting a pass on culpability, here, no more than that distinctly unserious little social butterfly Peggy Noonan.
Now, go stew in your delusion for a while, and see if you're able to swim your way clear of it. I'm betting you can't, because in the end, it's all about you, as far as you're concerned.
