Minister’s suggestion that members of the public should be allowed to own weapons gets a cool response.

The powers that be--those who control the guns--called such a proposal "foolhardy."

So what do they consider "sensible"?

[P]arliament amended the law...to allow members of parliament to carry guns during their term in office. Prior to the December election, almost one-third of sitting members had availed themselves of this right.

You know, "Only Ones." They've got theirs, so what's the problem?
