AP Bias on Full Display: Reporter Omits Democrat Link to Scandal, Highlights GOP Affiliation

On Monday (June 14), Associated Press reporter Colleen Long wrote two articles about two different criminal cases in New York State, both involving political operatives accused of breaking the law.
The first was about "Hank Morris... adviser to former state comptroller Alan Hevesi, [who] has been accused of taking kickbacks and other payments...."
The second was about John Haggerty, who is accused of duping New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg into giving him money for campaign expenses and then using the money for personal expenses instead.
The story about Morris never mentioned that he was a Democrat political consultant, or that his disgraced former boss Hevesi was also a Democrat.
Long's story about Haggarty led with the fact that he was "a Republican operative" and made sure to mention that he was currently an advisor to potential GOP governor candidate Carl Paladino, despite the fact that Paladino is not implicated in the case.
Two scandals. Same state. Same news organization. Same reporter. Different Parties. Different treatment.

P.S. The circulation for the Tennessean out of Nashville is so low that they have resorted to giving away tens of thousand of copies of their paper in order to prop up their circulation numbers.

I think opposition research on the journalism majors who write this propaganda would be more effective. Too bad we don't have a George Soros on the right who would comb through every crumb of AP writers like Jennifer Loven and the lady who wrote this article.

We need to figure out how to bankrupt the AP. This Leftist propaganda organization must be held accountable for crimes against the People of the United States of America.I think the AP is a not for profit corporation. If so, there may be restrictions on the amount of political campaigning they can do and still hold their tax exempt status. I think we need someone to challenge it on the theory that their special brand of journalism amounts to overt political support of the DNC.

Some AP writers are blatantly biased leftists and the mentioning of GOP politicians in trouble, while not identifying the Democrats, is typical of their tactics.
CALL or EMAIL AP headquarters and document this bias. Call them on it and ask them what they are going to do to (a) stop the bias and (b) to discipline the writer.
Pack a big lunch for a long wait.
PS: SOme of us have been writing about this bias for years. I did so at www.augustafreepress.com (see their Archives for Max). So has the conservative Media Research Center (MRC) and they publish a nearly daily journal of these examples of leftist media bias.
