"Why the hell was he apologizing! Makes no sense." It's even worse than that. By apologizing for his apology, HE became the news. It took all of the compliant media focus away from the Obama shakedown, and put it on him for his apology. NEVER apologize when you are right!

I thought I heard that Barton apologized because "the Republican leadership threatened to reduce his status". If that's true, it explains why I look at John Boehner and see Trent Lott...
When the Republicans (or anybody else) start apologizing for telling the truth, the truth is endangered. Leaders hp doe not apologize; it leads.
