Why don’t we close every restaurant in a city when one has an outbreak of food poisoning?
The feds destroyed Florida's tomato harvest season in 2008, costing growers, packers, etc. millions of dollars at peak of harvest due to a Salmonella outbreak. Eventually, the culprit was found to be jalapeno peppers from Mexico. No problem with the tomatoes that rotted in the packing houses.
