AM Alert: Palinpalooza

Has Sarah Palin's California visit caused a stir in the Golden State?

You betcha!

The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee will take the stage tonight at a fundraiser at California State University, Stanislaus.

The university was dogged with questions over how much former Alaska governor is being paid to speak at the gala. Officials said that because the event is being put on by a nonprofit foundation associated with the university, the speaking contract is not subject to disclosure under the state public records laws.

The push to release the payment details (and the push-back from the university) involved Dumpster diving and allegations about good, old document shredding.

The visit by Palin, a darling of conservatives and the tea party crowd, was highly criticized by Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, who is pushing a bill to include foundations connected to public universities under the Public Records Act. The bill, SB 330, passed the Assembly Higher Education Committee this week.

I suppose all speakers there receive similar scrutiny.

That's hysterical! This nancyboy has nothing better to occupy his time than this stupidity.

Wait till Soros finds out, dumbass!

Something we on the Right should be doing every day with approximately 90% of the “speakers” paid by the University system.

If they are going to question Sarah Palin, what about the various criminals, such as the oily Bill Clinton, frauds, Communists, anti-American fools and outright traitors who are ROUTINELY paid to “speak” without question?

Attorney Genral Jerry Brown:

How’s that investigation going on the document shredding? You know, the one where the documents weren’t shredded. The one where the documents didn’t have Sarah Palin’s name on them. The one where the moonbat coeds “found” the documents in the dumpster. The one you were “going to get to the bottom of”.

Moonbeam Jerry, how’s the investigation going?

Didn’t he play Toranaga in Sho-gun?

Or perhaps it was Kenda in Tora Tora Tora...

Both the characters you mention were Japanese. If Yee plays a character in a movie it might be as a local community bully bureaucrat in some backwater Chinese village.

My mistake. I have a Hawaiian uncle who is of Japanese descent with a Chinese surname.

My family tree can get VERY confusing, to say the least.

I'm not an expert either. It wouldn't take us long to find a lot of Asian people with decidedly non Asian names. I'm playing the odds on Yee. He could be of an ethnic group other than Chinese, but as he is from San Francisco, I am betting that the odds are high that he is Chinese.

In the Movie, "Big Trouble in Little China," Kurt Russel is in a Chinese brothel, and the madam is a Chinese lady named Mrs. O'Toole.

Yep. Hubby had a Vietnamese nephew with the surname "Pavek." (That's Czech...) of course, he was adopted as a newborn. He is a career member of the Army, and his nameplate causes lots of laughs.
