PHOENIX (AP) -- U.S. Sen. John McCain says he disagrees with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's statements that most people crossing the U.S. southern border illegally are smuggling drugs, but he thinks she is doing a good job of standing up for her state.
Brewer has said the motivation of "a lot" of the illegal immigrants is to enter the United States to look for work, but that drug rings press them into duty as drug "mules."

Its like he can’t help himself.
Of course the progressive RINO does.....remember, this is coming from a man that was FOR amnesty before he was against it....youy know, elections this year and all. =.=
He's showing his true RINO colors and IGNORNACE, by choice.
I do wish Sarah Palin would stop campaigning for HIM
and ENDORSING McPain.
Vote the scoundrel, McPain OUT! Don't you?
FUJM!
FUJM
Drugs and people, same routes and same organization. One supports the other.
We’ve had two boats with people and drugs captured withing a mile of our house here on the coast in San Diego. One boat was 50yds outside the fence for the US Navy facility on Pt. Loma, homeport for some nuc subs.
You wonder how many boats go undetected. As it was 13 people escaped from one of the boats..27 were captured.
You also figure that they had people waiting on the shore for the drugs and or people..so they pose a risk to us residents of the border area. Most nights there is no sign of USCG patrol at sea.
I would have to agree with McCain. Not all of them are smuggling drugs.
Some are just smuggling babies, or child-sex-slaves.
Some are just smuggling terrorists and their weapons.
So... the exact figure is a little hard to arrive at.
...and we strongly oppose mcCain.
Which represents a higher number?
‘MOST people crossing the border’
or
‘a lot of people crossing the border’
Response: One would not expect McCain to hold and express any other attitude.
Comment: I hope the good people of Arizona put this "politician" out on the street! To the day I die I will believe this individual was a shill for "The Divine One."
U.S. Sen. John McCain says he disagrees with Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer's statements that most people crossing the U.S. southern border illegally are smuggling drugs,Does it really matter John? Aren't they "all gods children" after all? < /sarcasm >
Where is either one (Brewer or McCain) getting their statistics from? Has either one fielded a team whose sole purpose is to meet and greet the “visitors” and interview them... “say you, are you a drug mule?” (”Si/No”) “Thanks, senor/senorita, now please continue on your way.”
That said, I suspect that mules are making up more and more of the stream as time passes, whatever the absolute numbers. The flaccid economy makes it less attractive to come here just for jobs, and the drug cartels get ever more chutzpah.
McQueeg is never at a loss for a wrong cause to be an apologist for.
Yeah sure Juan what is your and Bushes cut of the drug trade nowadays??
1% is too many....
smuggling?????....they're smuggling themselves for cripes sakes.
Well, if that were true, then it would be obvious we can no longer allow ANY ILLEGAL BORDER CROSSERS.
Why, we would be considered Mexi-phobic if we dared shut down the borders completely to all illegal traffic.
Besides, why can’t we tolerate a few drugs getting into our country, as long as it helps illegal immigrants to enter and drain the resources of our country, while contributing nothing to the economy.
; )
A lot of illegals left the country because they were out of work. Does McCain believe they coming back for jobs that are no longer there?
