apitol Police even approved an earlier request to fly the Gadsden Flag over the Capitol in April, but reconsidered after lawmakers dubbed it a political symbol due to Tea Party connections to the request and said it didnt fit the states requirements.
Claiming it is a political symbol couldn't be more disingenuous since the Tea Party movement is not a registered political party in Connecticut. Flaming socialist Michael Lawlor feels threatened by the Gadsden flag flying over the State Capitol. We had our own ceremony on the Capitol grounds one week before the 4/15/10 rally despite the intimidation attempts.
Meanwhile the Russian, UN and code pink flags have flown over the state Capitol. This issue will not go away. It is growing.
