Would President Eisenhowers Successful Government Program Used To Deport Illegal's Work Today?

Posted on 07/06/2010 7:04:51 PM PDT by Retired Intelligence Officer

Think about it. Back in the mid 1950s, President Eisenhower was faced with a mass influx of illegal aliens crossing over the Mexican border into the United States. People were complaining of the same thing back then like they are doing today. That the illegals were taking jobs for less pay compared to what the average American was making and that also they were dangerous to society. Ike proposed a plan and had one of his generals inpliment it. The plan was to round up and deport the illegals deep into Mexico by ships and once word got out that tens of thousands were being rounded up at a successful rate, many illegals left and returned to Mexico themselves in fear they would be caught. I think the same thing if enacted today on a larger scale involving the U.S. Army's infantry regiments would be successful and that the psychological inducement of fear would make many again leave. Ikes Operation that worked needs to be brought back.

Why not? Arizona passes a law and the illegals are popping smoke like the hairs on fire and their butts are a’catchin’.

A lot is hinging on what happens with this issue. If Obama beats the AZ law, that is a clear message to the rest of those Mexicans not here yet to just come on, we can’t and won’t doing anything.

AZ becomes AZtlan.

It would work again. We simply need a President like Ike instead of pro-illegal alien sympathizers like Dubya and Obummer.

Love to see it happen but not with this regime. Those are democratic voters for the 2010 and 2012 elections. Without them the dems are toast.

Congress needs to repeal the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 that Ted Kennedy championed and assured us it would not fundamentally alter the demographics of the U.S. and return to the National Origins Formula. Our economy cannot afford to have the spigots of immigrants at full tilt - we need to control the flow.

Heck for that matter just bring Ike himself back.
Set him up on a chair in the oval office and he’d still be a thousand times more of a president then this current Bozo.

"We simply need a President like Ike"

What we need is a nation that wants a president like Ike.

Why do you think the best Reps could produce was McCain? Because even republicans would no vote en masse for another Reagan today. Go look at any thread involving Goldman Sachs or Wall Street. Here on the "conservative" FR, you'll hardly find someone who knows the subject: the rest just continue to spew words put by the commies into their "conservative" mouths: evil "rich," "corporations," "bailout of fat cats." And just like the liberals, facts don't matter for them.

Even conservatives no longer knows how their old country worked and what made it great. People cannot defend what they don't know. The Marxist in the White House has not really won: there was no fight; he had no opposition.

An email that I recently received:

Note: One of these men was a democrat and a darn good one. Old Harry used to say, ‘The buck stops here’. He was his own man!

Three Presidents did it, yet we never hear about it!!

I FOUND THIS TO BE VERY INTERESTING.

I WONDER WHY IT WAS NEVER BROUGHT UP.

What did Hoover, Truman, and Eisenhower have in common?

Here is something that should be of great interest for you to pass around. I didn’t know of this until it was pointed out to me.

Back during The Great Depression, President Herbert Hoover ordered the deportation of ALL illegal aliens in order to make jobs available to American citizens that desperately needed work..

Harry Truman deported over two million Illegal’s after WWII to create jobs for returning veterans.

And then again in 1954, President Dwight Eisenhower deported 13 million Mexican Nationals! The program was called ‘Operation Wetback’. It was done so WWII and Korean Veterans would have a better chance at jobs.
It took 2 Years, but they deported them!

Now...if they could deport the illegals back then - they could sure do it today.

If you have doubts about the veracity of this information, enter Operation Wetback into your favorite search engine and confirm it for yourself.
Reminder:

Don’t forget to pay your taxes...
12 million Illegal Aliens are depending on you!

“Congress needs to repeal the Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 that ‘the drunken slob’ championed” (slightly edited)

THANK YOU AND AMEN!!! That ‘Act’ was the worst thing ever unleashed on this country (and I include the Civil War as I write this). A horrific, damning deed that has and continues to damage the USA, most likely mortally.

Ike, Truman the Hoover did not have:

THe ACLU
A liberal SCOTUS
A know nothing, do nothing, corrupt to their eyeball CONgress
A lazy, inept, and ignorant public

So another Operation Wetback might not work.

But, hey, I’m willing to give it a go... Could be a win-win for everyone.
