Too many Republican leaders are acquiescing to a poisonous "demagoguery" that threatens the party's long-term credibility, says a veteran GOP House member who was defeated in South Carolina's primary last month.

While not naming names, 12-year incumbent Rep. Bob Inglis suggested in interviews with The Associated Press that tea party favorites such as former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and right-wing talk show hosts like Glenn Beck are the culprits.

He cited a claim made famous by Palin that the Democratic health care bill would create "death panels" to decide whether elderly or sick people should get care.

"There were no death panels in the bill ...

Another sore loser whining? Speaks well of his district that he couldn't even crack 30%. Our country is being raped, pillaged and looted and this guy seems more interested in playing by the Marquis of Queenbury rules than stopping it.

The losers are screeching now that their tails have been stepped on. They were fine when all they had to worry about was whose milk to steal next. Inglis, Bennett, dog crap on parade. Who will be next around the corner?

No, former congressman. The problem is not that we are listening to the Becks, Palins and Levins of the world. The problem is that those who governed like Democrat-lite led this country down the wrong path and are now upset that we’ve chosen a better way.

Go forward into your retirement in peace and leave the governing to those with the stones to do what needs to be done.

Inglis, one of three Republican incumbents who have lost their seats in Congress to primary and state party convention challengers this year.

Those grapes a little sour there, Bob?

What’s da matter Bob, don’t like taking the heat for bad decisions and selling out America.

Or you just don’t like the fact that RINO’s are not considered important to the landscape.

Some people are always looking for an excuse to blame their failures on. Looks like Beck is it for now. Beck is so harmless, he merely does world and american history and civic classes on his show. In fact he is kinda boring. However, it is just really too bad that so few know of what Becks talks about.

>> says a veteran GOP House member.

Well, only one word was quoted in what Inglis was reported as saying.

Tempting to berate the veteran GOPper, but reporting these days is not at all that accurate, nor truthful.

I’d almost believe that these worthless RINO’s like Inglis, Bennett, etal., suffer from the “Stockholm” syndrome. They go to DC and receive so much abuse from and are cowered by the press and Democrats that they join them in political philosophy.
