Too many Republican leaders are acquiescing to a poisonous "demagoguery" that threatens the party's long-term credibility, says a veteran GOP House member who was defeated in South Carolina's primary last month.
While not naming names, 12-year incumbent Rep. Bob Inglis suggested in interviews with The Associated Press that tea party favorites such as former vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin and right-wing talk show hosts like Glenn Beck are the culprits.
He cited a claim made famous by Palin that the Democratic health care bill would create "death panels" to decide whether elderly or sick people should get care.

LOSER
Is he trying out for a media commentating job as pet Republican?
No, former congressman. The problem is not that we are listening to the Becks, Palins and Levins of the world. The problem is that those who governed like Democrat-lite led this country down the wrong path and are now upset that we’ve chosen a better way.

another pimp. run them out of town on a rail in disgrace. he did not disgrace his party. He disgraced his country.
Veteran GOP lawmaker?
More like has-been GOP lawmaker...
OK we know his name now.
He can go away.
Those grapes a little sour there, Bob?

In fact he is kinda boring. However, it is just really too bad that so few know of what Becks talks about.
12 years? He’s been there too long, most likely infected with Potomac fever!

Socialist republican losing piece of excrement...STFU
Both parties suck!
Then he should refute what Beck is saying ... give proof that he is wrong! Man up!
I’d almost believe that these worthless RINO’s like Inglis, Bennett, etal., suffer from the “Stockholm” syndrome. They go to DC and receive so much abuse from and are cowered by the press and Democrats that they join them in political philosophy.
The GOP is by and large no better than the Dems.
good riddance.
go off and join crist and specter at the country club.
