Federal Public Safety Employees Act

AUSTIN – Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott today identified multiple constitutional defects with the so-called Public Safety Employer-Employee Cooperation Act, a bill pending before the U.S. Senate that would coerce state and local governments to collectively bargain with labor unions representing certain public employees.

“The federal government is attempting to intrude upon our state’s authority to independently manage relations with our public employees,” Attorney General Abbott said. “This law would force the State of Texas into federally mandated collective bargaining agreements with labor unions – despite the fact that state law does not authorize collective bargaining for state employees. If this constitutionally suspect legislation is passed, I will take legal action to protect our state from yet another case of federal overreach.”

I think we have a very good AG—wish she would run for governor—but then again—we need her where she is—LOL!

The blatant, hyper-arrogant power grab by Hussein and the rest of the radical DC left is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. And WHERE is Mitchie the Kid McConnell, screaming his lungs out on FOX and any other network which would give him time??!! Republicans should be PLANTED in news rooms, exposing the left for exactly what it is, from now right through election day!!! Marxism, fascism, blatant disregard for the rights of the American people, unconstitutional thuggery...these should be ringing in people’s ears. But it would appear that party “leaders” are too busy worrying about being invited to the “right” DC cocktail parties. Must NOT step on any toes or be “non-bipartisan”, right Mitchie??!! The NY Times might print something unflattering. And THEN where you you be!!

those of you in Right to Work states take note....if the Feds can get away with this, what is to stop them from requiring unionization for every job in your state?
