Many thought SNL alum Al Frankens bid for the US Senate was a joke in 2008. That was until the votes came in and there was a virtual tie between Franken and then-Senator Norm Coleman. The contested Minnesota race took months and many legal battles before courts finally ruled Franken as their new Senator. It now appears his nomination was not only a joke, but his election was pushed over the top by the illegal votes of felons.
Not surprisingly Fox News is one of the only folks out there reporting on a new finding by Minnesota Majority showing that Franken received at least 341 counted votes by felons. All of those ballots should have been cast out, because it was illegal for those felons to vote. Considering Franken only ending up winning by 318 votes, that means he should never have been declared the winner and Coleman should still be the Senator.
Minnesota Majority is a conservative watch dog group and did an extensive 18 month study they say cannot be denied and should be taken seriously. The organization knows it is too late to change the election, but it would like its findings to make sure things are handled better in the future.
We arent trying to change the result of the last election. That legally cant be done. We are just trying to make sure the integrity of the next election isnt compromised. Dan McGrath, Minnesota Majoritys executive director.
Some Minnesota counties are ignoring this research while others are taking it very seriously. Fox News reports:

Someone could make a great TV ad about this for the next election.
Frankin is merely the top reason I have no respect for our senate.
He is a joke and an ugly one at that.
Of course the dems have a solution to this: let felons vote.
And a totally corrupted recounting of the votes.
Whenever it became clear that Coleman won the election there was a concerted effort to throw out his votes and ‘find’ votes for Franken-pig.
Oh, they’ve got even more tricks up their sleeves now; if you thought you had seen dirty tricks in 2008, think again, you haven’t seen anything yet. And, they’ve developed tried and true vote stealing methods nation wide. And of course the electronic voting has been a big plus for them; stealing elections just got a whole lot easier for them. In Texas, they’ve been observed throwing out the early votes and trucking in magically “found” machines from remote areas at the last minute. After amnesty voting will be all but pointless.
It could happen, if the Republicans had any guts, which is not certain.
Good thing Tim Pawlenty was governor—to see that the right thing was done!
Franken is a crook, it’s written all over him.
A recall election (also called a recall referendum or representative recall) is a procedure by which voters can remove an elected official from office through a direct vote
The Democratic Party has become totally corrupt. Which explains how Mr. Obama could take it over.
Sorry, but Fox News has a huge credibility problem with me. If I see the same issue/results reported elsewhere, I’d take note. Otherwise, it’s just a load of hooey to me.
