“an extraordinary asset to this administration’s efforts to cut down the deficit and put our nation back on a fiscally responsible path.”

Jacob Lew ... obviously a renaissance man ... a man for all seasons ... skilled at all levels of human endeavor. Able to go from the State Department to the Office of Management and Budget in a single bound. No need to unpack his desk. Just push it up the street to the new building. There is no skill this magnificent man has not conquered. If we were to ask, we would be told that he can even wipe his butt with either hand.

Someday, someone new, different and, more importantly, accomplished at his or her assigned job will be hired in Washington DC. Someday ... but not today. Today we get Jacob Lew in a new position.
