Obama's next act
Washington Post ^ | July 16, 2010 | Charles Krauthammer

Posted on 07/15/2010 10:51:14 PM PDT by george76

In the political marketplace, there's now a run on Obama shares. The left is disappointed with the president. Independents are abandoning him in droves. And the right is already dancing on his political grave, salivating about November when, his own press secretary admitted Sunday, Democrats might lose the House.

I have a warning for Republicans: Don't underestimate Barack Obama.

Obama is down, but it's very early in the play. Like Reagan, he came here to do things. And he's done much in his first 500 days. What he has left to do he knows must await his next 500 days -- those that come after reelection.

The real prize is 2012. Obama sees far, farther than even his own partisans. Republicans underestimate him at their peril.

Krauthammer points out that for Obama 2010 matters little and that Obama may well have an easier reelection strategy running against congressional Republicans.

If Republicans take control of the House, the MSM will be going all out 24/7/365 to demonize the Republican congressional leaders, just as they did to Gingrich in the 1990s.

As I mentioned in another post, I think Obama believes he can position his support even further to the left by flushing the remaining working-class white males out of the DemocRat party and then use a heavy-handed racial-division strategy with the help of the MSM to mobilize his base for reelection.

Don’t remind everybody of how long everybody has to put up with Obama and his entire administration! They all have got to leave, asap, if not even sooner, along with ALL LEFTISTS FROM BOTH MAJOR POLITICAL PARTIES AS WELL AS BOTH INDEPENDENT U.S. SENATORS AND ALL OTHER LEFTISTS, FROM EVERY POLITICAL LEVEL, AND THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRE WORLD! Always work towards completely ending all political correctness throughout the entire world and replacing it with 100% commonsense throughout the entire world!

This administration scares the ba-jesus out of me! There is no way to convince me that they will simply sit back and collapse like a house of cards. Them knowing their current position and future losses, I expect them to pull some stunt at the last minute to save their butts to continue destroying our Country. I have several ideas of possibilities, but I’m not going to speculate, or don my foil hat here.
I’m still stocking up on everything and won’t relax until all these socialists are just a horrible memory.

He may believe that, but I don't see how he could;
with NO white votes he can't be re-elected.

Yep are correct. I think the last time we saw a peaceful transfer of power was giving Obama the keys to the White House.

Oh, he'll still get white votes - 1) unmarried white women with children with vote overwhelmingly for him, 2) other single white women will split about half for him, 3) white government employees, 4) liberals such as university professors and hollyweirdos and the other usual suspects and 5) white homosexuals.

If Democrats lose control of one or both houses, Obama will probably have an easier time in 2012, just as Bill Clinton used Newt Gingrich and the Republicans as the foil for his 1996 reelection campaign.

If the Republicans control the House in 2010, they can stop Zero in his tracks simply by refusing to fund his programs. They can't repeal. That takes two-thirds of both houses (to override a veto). But the House does have veto power over spending.

The question is, Can a GOP House dig in its heals and force Zero to play ball without, in the process, pissing off enough sheeple to reelect Zero?

You can’t beat somebody with nobody. It will take a strong GOP candidate in 2012, and no one currently fits the bill. IMHO.

Trust me. I have rotated my “stock” even before the election. Keep an eye out but don’t think that “socialism” is the fear. This is a straight up confiscation of our Republic. Sit tight and think about it. There is time.

If the pubs take control of both houses, I would suggest that they just shut out the msm. They are going to just make up the stories anyway so why even deal with them.

Obama and his pack of merry democrats don’t have to worry about their falling numbers.... Just as long as they never ever have to hold another fair election.

As usual, Krauthammer is 100% right on all counts. Reports of Obama’s political demise have been greatly exaggerated. The overconfidence that I see around here is very troubling. Barry is in power, and we’re not. November 2010 is a long way away. 2012 might as well be a lifetime from now. And GOP control of one or both houses of Congress might actually help them win in 2012, just as it helped Bill Clinton in ‘96.

I agree that this runs much deeper than what’s on the surface, or what can be found on the internet, or any other form of Media. I smell smoke and know that somewhere, something is dreadfully wrong.
Doing the best we can with what we have. Just getting too old for this crap. Fortunately,(?), on our personal level, we have no Children or Grandchildren’s future to worry about.

Or as the case may be, his next 60 days prior to his last 440 days.
