Stephen Schwartz scrupulously reviews the available evidence regarding the ladies and gentleman behind the planned $100 million mega-mosque at Ground Zero. They are fronted by Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, a Kuwait-born cleric of Egyptian background. What does Schwartz turn up?
Let's see. Here we have a support network linked to the Malaysian Jew hater Mahathir bin Mohamad. Here we have the Perdana-supported Gaza raiders. Here we have some notable servants of the Iranian clerical dictatorship, and an Egyptian property developer associated with the pro-Hamas chief of the Arab League.
And here we have Feisal Abdul Rauf's wife, Daisy Khan, one of the most assiduous promoters of the mega-mosque. She is the niece of Dr. Farooq Khan, formerly a leader of the Westbury Mosque on Long Island, which is a center for Islamic radicals and links on its website to the paramilitary Islamic Circle of North America, the front on American soil for the Pakistani jihadist Jamaat e-Islami.
Schwartz concludes with a simple proposition. If Rauf's planned mega-mosque is entirely above board, he should fully disclose its backing and finances. Until Rauf shows his cards, I think it's fair to infer that the mega-mosque is intended to add insufferable insult to grievous injury.

Non-Muslim defenders of Rauf—including Cuomo and New York mayor Michael Bloomberg—have rejected demands for investigation of the ideological and financial underpinnings of the Ground Zero mosque. They have argued that such an inquiry would violate the First Amendment guarantee of free exercise of religion.
Are they just idiots or whores or.....???
Expose Bloomberg for the Kapo he is and anyone else involved in this sham.
So if they start to build it, burn it down…burn it down as many times as it takes.

I’m going back to NY, where I grew up and lived most of my life, in August and I’m afraid to go down to the WTC site. I moved away one year before 9/11, I watched it (weeping) on TV, but I have been back many times and I always go to the site.
It’s still hard for me to believe that the City of New York is going to let this happen.

Looking at this morally, ethically, spiritually and emotionally no way in hell this mosque should rise. Not at this site. The mooslim fanatics who tore down the WTC were praising allah to their deaths. Definitely must not happen. If new york were still controlled by the irish catholics not a chance this would happen. But today, especially in america money talks and trumps all the reasons why I said it should not rise. Unfortunately, America is becoming so financially bankrupt that money can be the deciding factor for all the wrong reasons. I am irish catholic but canadian. I hope new yorkers show some backbone and prevent this from happening regardless of the money aspect. Suck it up and do the right thing and remember all the irish catholics who died in squalor a hundred years ago and more praying to god on their deathbed and remember this..not ONE of them brought dishonour to new york and attacked the heart of the city like the mooslim fanatics, purposely killing innocents. The Irish fought amongst themselves and did not kill innocents over religion. They killed cause it was kill or be killed in many cases.

Let me see, in America a group of Christian students are not allowed to pray simply because they are gathered in a public place, but it is somehow against the freedom of religion to check and make sure that there are no direct ties to terrorists before the muslims erect a very large building.

It’s not a mosque, it’s a beachhead after their successful attacks on the country. It would be a major victory.
Supporters of the project are obviously playing a word game by referring to it as a "community center" rather than a "mosque." Sounds a lot more benign to the average non-Muslim's ear.
