Retired Coast Guard Adm. Thad Allen says .. leaks are so far not a major concern.
.. seepage about two miles away .. likely not related to the ruptured well.

I swear it ias like the Feds are scared to death there is not going to be any oil leaking into the gulf.
First it was, pressures are lower than expected we order you to open the cap.
Then, well ok the pressures are explainable, but look there is seepage! see it see it!! OPEN THE CAP!!!!
Well, ok, maybe that is natural seepage afterall. But look the CAP IS LEAKING!!!!
methane ... In the Gulf of Mexico? seeping.. near the well head. I’m shocked.
Isn’t the Gulf one of the most rich regions re: methane, etc. ? naturally occurring even.. ?

may be, cuz we got a bunch of folk around trying to paint a picture that ain’t gonna happen.. jmo
Well going into the gas test they stated that they did not want to see Methane coming up behind the casing. Was bad news and meant casing failure.
Also someone with 30 years in the business reportedly, stated that they do extensive surveys of these new well sites. They look for seeps and they should know before they even drilled where every seep was close to this site. These seeping reservoirs typically contain garbage products.
Norm, I do know where you are coming from however. Listened to the news on the radio for about 10 minutes this afternoon and was shocked. Apparently conspiracies are ruling the MSM now. Good thing I have no sat, no cable and no broadcast TV. Just trying to make sense of what is going on. The way these things typically play out is that the truth will end up some where between the worse case and best case. Governments are not 100 % truthful and neither are corporations. The MSM is just trying to make money. And they do like to leak fantastical worse case scenarios so when the truth finally arrives, you wont be too shocked.
