This entire situation was ill-conceived and totally avoidable.

Did you even listen to her entire speech, and read her history? Where do you think a white goverment official would be at, if he referred to some black farmer that came to him for help as, “ sent him to his own kind”?He'd be crucified by the lamestream media.
This woman is a racist, pure and simple. She has no business working for the United Sates government and getting paid by our tax dollars.

Right. Sharrod isn’t the worst racist in the world, but she is no saint either. Greater context doesn’t vindicate her. And Breitbart’s main point was the racism of the NAACP in general, the way they cheered when they thought a white farmer might get the shaft. That was perfect context.

The Shirley Sherrods of the world oppress poor women.

Giving single mothers 100% loans for rural housing with no down payment is a sure way to keep them impoverished for a lifetime.

The single moms are not financially savvy — they see only the present moment. For most it is that seeing only the present moment is why they become ‘single mothers’ in the first place. Woman mature enough to consider the impact of decisions today will have many years down the road don’t put themselves in a situation where they become single moms.

Such people are PREY for lenders, who HOOK them and CHAIN them into a lifetime of mortgage payments.

Why do the socialists such as those in the US Agriculture Department, such as Shirley Sherrod, insist on setting up the weakest among us for lifetimes of victimization?
