You got pinged because I’ve “never had a pet”....:)

[and you know what a devout animal hater I am]

I have a hard time seeing anybody that’s actually had a pet having any problem with that song. But with the rest of your rant I see the problem, you don’t understand what you’re hearing. If you’ve actually LISTENED to Aqualung you’d know that the album only demonstrates a problem with religion when it’s used to make money or to get people to kill. And the Christmas album has lots of Christmas and winter songs, no problems with religion. And Divinities is all instrumental, no problems with anything there. And yes I’ve read his interviews, again just like Aqualung, he really doesn’t care what people believe so long as they aren’t ripping people off with it or killing for it.

I completed my Tull collection almost a year before Rock Island came out, I’m no noob, I know the music, clearly better than you do. And it’s funny how you wave around the Aqualung album as a reason to hate Tull since it came out a full 5 years before the album with the song you took your handle from. I guess you weren’t paying much attention.

I went to high school with Jethro.

All I remember about him was that he wanted to be a double naught spy.

I thought I said chicks weren’t tough enough for FR.

You're poopy. I $pit on you. Please don't hit the abuse button on me like the excerpt-o-bots have lately.

“I completed my Tull collection almost a year before Rock Island came out, I’m no noob, I know the music, clearly better than you do.”

LOL!

Surely, you jest.

Did you also spend decades learning English/Celtic folklore and pagan religion to tease out every last enigmatic bit of all the multiple entendres on the albums?

No, of course you didn’t.

What of Walk Into Light, Under Wraps, The Secret Language of Birds or Nightcap?

Not mainstream enough for you?

FYI, Noob, what earthly difference does the release date of TOTR&R versus Aqualung have to do with my user name on FR?

Was FR on the web in the 70s?
[hint: there was no WWW in the 70s]

I’ve painted under that name since high school.

[and how could you have “completed your collection with Rock Island” when Catfish Rising, A Little Light Music, Nightcap, Roots To Branches, The Secret Language of Birds, Nightcap, Divinities and J-Tull Dot Come *all* came out years later? Or haven’t you heard of those?]

Away with thee, thou neophyte.

[If you think know so much of “The Meaning of Tull”, what is “Mayhen, Maybe?” about? What is the significance of the hazel rod? What is the mythological error in “Cold Wind To Valhalla”? For what purpose was “Coronach” written? If it takes you more than 5 minutes to answer any of those questions, I’ll know you were frantically Googling the answers]

I missed these...

I love my pets.
I know many other people who love their pets.
~None~ of them have ever alluded to finding their pets “seductive”.

[a revolting ‘personal view’, perhaps?]

And I do not “hate Tull”.

Every single thing the band and Anderson have done are loaded on my iPod.

I love the music but think Ian’s now a weakened sellout to liberal political correctness.

I no longer respect the -man- and I will not give him another penny of my money.

Perhaps *you* should pay closer attention.

I built a glass block "stone" circle behind my house. ;-)

Lucky you!

I had to drag real granite rocks down off the ridge!...LOL!

My pride and joy is a 100+ pound “holey stone” I found up there...it’s got the place of honor in the center and the solstice sunset shines through it onto my house.

[making a “cup and circle” ley line marker stone was a real rip using the proper hand tools, though]...LOL

Wanna meet me in the wee hours?....;]

That was the purpose of the glass block. I've let it go a bit and need about a gallon of roundup. ;-(

Yeah, but he’s grown since then.
He was only 9 months old when that was taken.

LOL! You too, huh? I'm a little nicer. I just have a photoshopped picture on my door of a dead, bloody vacuum cleaner salesman next to my "No Soliciting" and "Protected by Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson" signs.

No strangers ever knock on my door. Wonder why?

I feel your pain.

Both of the backyard circles have been “taken over” by trees.

Some nice bird planted the most wonderful Mulberry tree ever in the midst of the one with the Holey Stone and a Maple sapling is now making its tender way in the stone firepit.

I wouldn’t dream of cutting the Mulberry...rarely seen bird species come from all over to feast upon the berries every June....and the little maple is just so dear and determined, I haven’t the heart to bother it.

When it’s stronger, I will transplant it elsewhere since the big black walnut tree growing above it really isn’t good for it.

The circle in the front yard wound up as a burial plot for an especially precious dog.

Cedars grew over that and now some kid of beautiful vine is weaving itself all through it.

I figure apparently God had other plans for my “pagan spaces”....:)

I would love to see your circle, weeds and all, if you’ve mind to show it to me.

I’m still trying to decide what to do with a barrowful of limestone rocks I recently acquired.

A small cairn, maybe....there’s a “line of force” out front due to a shifting underground spring that “needs something”.

I have an 18th century 6 foot iron wagon rim out there where the ash tree grew before lightning nailed it.

Maybe inside of that....to “double it up”....:)

way in the stone firepit.

That is how I convinced the better half to let me spend the money on it. I put a nice fire pit and benches in the center. With a raging fire the block casts light to the outer circle (except for the major weed and briar growth). When I kill it off the weeds I'm going to plant deciduous Celtic spices on the outside.

We have had so much deer damage I'm just going to replant my entire cleared property with deciduous spices. In goes the white towel. The deer have won.

Sounds wonderful!

You might try planting cedars or ground cover junipers.

The White Tails here won’t touch them.

[but goats will so make sure you have no roving bands of feral goats, first]...:)
