He said it's because the nitworks are scared stiff of what anti-white racist tapes are lurking in the wings such as this one by the husband.

Hi Leni, how are ya?

I don't think the nitworks (love the word coinage there!) are afraid of unreleased tapes lurking about. They were understandably concerned about what this loose-cannon twit would say on live TV.

I hear all these wonderful things about what the rest of her NAALCP speech had in it (Ann Coulter literally gushed over it), but maybe I'm a racist or something because I think the entire speech is worse than the clip Brietbart showed. Wall-to-wall racism in the black-preacher delivery style, with the audience chiming in with "Amen!" and "You said it, Sister!" every other sentence.

This entire Sherrod (wife and husband) racist episode, as well as the continuous assaults on “typical white folks” “acting stupidly” by Obama and his racist AG, reminds me of a chilling conversation I had with a Palestinian friend some years back.

I suggested to her that she and her cohorts stop blowing up school buses, hotels, and and various other Israeli targets to which she replied, “But you don’t understand. We are at war.” All I could do was sadly shake my head and weakly respond, “Well, I guess somebody better tell the Israelis that.”

Now we know, at last, beyond a shadow of a doubt that up to 14% of our own population has been at war with us for more years than any of us would like to think. By word and deed, they have waged an all-out offensive against the “white folks” who they blame everything on from AIDS to drugs to illegitimacy to ring around the bathtub. As the Sherrods, Obama, Wright, Hymie Town Jackson, Samuel Jackson, Beyonce, and countless others have made clear, we are the enemy who must be defeated and subjugated.

And all the while, we have poured more than $4 trillion welfare and entitlement dollars into their pockets to try to assuage some misconceived white guilt.

We are idiots.

Windflier. I’m referring to new immigrants (mostly Asians) who pool their resources to start small businesses, invest in real estate etc. ... not rely on only their group to buy from their business.

A good example is the Vietnamese ‘boat people’ who resettled in various areas of the US and within 10 years were owning small businesses, real estate etc. Family members from several families worked at low-wage jobs, saved like mad, then pooled money and leveraged it to buy a small business ... a carwash, a nail salon, a coffe shop. Then everybody in the family works in the business until they make enough to split off another business, etc.

They also pool their money to send the brightest children to college and in turn, that college kid returns the money invested in him by opening up a business that employs more of the family ... or he/she loans money to the family group to start another small business. Gradually, as they all prosper, the families start to live more separate economic lives.

In Hawaii these arrangements are called hui (hoo eee).

I suspect that all the journolisters have bought into the Saint Shirley mantra and this will get no traction at all.

“He said it’s because the nitworks are scared stiff of what anti-white racist tapes are lurking in the wings such as this one by the husband.”

Could it be that Breitbart has gotten into their “head”? KUDOS to Andrew if that’s true - it’s the closest thing to a conscious many will ever have.

In one way I agree with him. Black people and families should pull together just like Jewish, Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc families have in America. Part of why blacks haven’t done as well as these other groups is that they haven’t pulled together economically like other groups have. The same is true to lesser extent with Latinos.

But Mr. Sherrod seems to go far beyond that in his exhortations. I’d like to see the whole video and other speeches and writings of his.

I note there are no offense terms, insulting name-calling in your post. It is possible to outline ideas without doing it in a racist manner.

Now how funny would it be if another video of Ms Shirley popped up making racist comments or Black Nationalism and Barack has to fire her all over again.

They sounds like "Rev" Wright disciples!

Told you we weren’t finished hearing about Ms. Sherrod...wonder if she supports her racist husband?

She will just repeat her contention that this is why she wanted to go north to find a husband, all the men in the south racist, er, I mean brought up with a particular *experience* to excuse him.

Sad but true that this racist POS will skate just like his racist POS wife did.

We have no news media unless they are destroying Republicans.

Imagine if someone unearthed a video of Sarah Palin’s husband saying something this inflammatory.

Bingo -- we all know precisely how this would be played by the lamestream, there is no chance in heck she would be able to distance herself or excuse him. A career-ender, not to mention the fall-out for those she's endorsed.

Well, that's a time-honored way for any family to prosper. I'm aware of Asian families doing just what you described.

Charles Sherrod's ideas about keeping the money in the black community aren't quite the same thing. If he'd described what you just did to his audience, I would have applauded him.

For the life of me, I cannot comprehend how Glenn Beck, the others, so many FReepers have chimed in with this *exoneration, enlightenment, redemption* idea they claim from the speech. How can they NOT hear/read her using terms like "one of his own", that whole bit on "the Bushes" (still want to know why the plural) and this tired baloney of how the only reason anyone objects to 0bama is that he is a black president and hear a viewpoint that continues to put things in terms of black vs. white, regardless she claims otherwise? And yes, the audience reaction to her words is of major import, along with the fact that for some reason, she felt it necessary to tell of her supposed eye-opening to the NAACP.

Thank you for your post, CL.
