Skin color is the most important qualifier for the black vote, even when that vote is clearly against their own interests. I lived in Philly when the blacks voted for white Governor Ed Rendell over Black Lynn Swann, Republican.

To be a real "Black" you have to be liberal. That's a given for about 90% of Black voters. They didn't turn out for Ken Blackwell in Ohio either.
