BREVARD COUNTY, Fla. -- Hundreds of people who work in the space shuttle program now know who's losing jobs. Tuesday, United Space Alliance (USA) told 902 workers at Kennedy Space Center that they have two months left on the job and there are many more layoffs to come.
When workers showed up Tuesday to prepare the space shuttle fleet for its final missions, nearly a thousand were told to meet with their managers and handed notices that their positions and their careers at the Space Center were almost over.

The knowledge to go to space is not just in computer files and drawers, ready to be taken out again. It was a 60 year continuous development of human beings, and quite a bit of it is passed from one person to the next without being written in a textbook.

NASA is just a tool for the environmental pinheads and hasn't contributed anything substantial in comparison to the money it sucks out of the pockets of taxpayers. Unless you call falsifying temperature data good science.
The idiotic space station became a playground for political correctness and some idiot named Obama comes along with a goal for NASA (US taxpayers) to make Muslims like us by pretending they actually contributed something to science. They contributed to science alright. They proved they are idiots willing to make themselves human missiles...Who needs rocket science?

I know they protested when he visited not long ago and someone outside asked them if they wanted to here what Obama was saying inside. They all shouted “NO!!”
The program is coming to an end, so there is no need for these individuals. It’s tough, but it is part of life. Every one of these individuals knew years ago that the program was going to end and should have prepared for it.
There’s a whole body of knowledge, experience, and technology that won’t exist any longer.
Going to be many thousands cut in Houston. Local schools and city governments are preparing fo significant enrollment and budget cuts. It’s going to be brutal.
How’s life up in the North West with Boeing moving their headquarters to Chicago?
