When President Obama arrives in Texas on Monday, he will be greeted by the state's top Republican official, but the state's top Democrat will be nowhere to be seen.
Gov. Rick Perry will greet the President when he gets off Air Force One at Austin Bergstrom Airport.
The President and the governor will have a brief talk about immigration.
But Bill White, the Democrat who wants Perry's job, will not be there to greet the leader of his party.
A spokeswoman says White has 'no plans' to meet with the President.
The Perry campaign has worked hard to tie White to the unpopular President, and would love to have a photo of the two together to push his campaign's theme that White is a 'liberal trial lawyer' who cannot be trusted.
White will be campaigning in Johnson County, in north Texas, Monday night when Obama is forty miles away in Dallas, but there are still no plans for a meeting.
The President will hold fundraisers in Austin and Dallas, ironically to help raise money for White and other local Democrats, and he will appear at a public event at the University of Texas.

We all know White and Obama will meet in secret plotting meetings asking where to send each other money from the private slush funds. Perry will be there because he is the Governor.

I really don’t like Perry, but would take him over White. I think this is just another way to rub salt in White’s wounds. Perry meets with Barry, since he’s the current sitting governor. Perry meeting with Barry highlights that White refuses to. I just wish there was a conservative running instead of Gov. Good-Hair.

Oh, I'm familiar with the Pecos Perry schtick ... but the last time I looked (from beautiful downtown Pearland) it was Pecos, not Peco's
