PHOENIX (AP) - John McCain's Republican primary challenger suggests the country would be worse off had McCain won the 2008 presidential election.

(snip)

Responding to a question from the audience at a Phoenix tea party meeting Monday, Hayworth says he doesn't like President Barack Obama, but a moderate Republican would be even worse than the Democrat.

Speaking of the Arizona senator, Hayworth says: "I think the last thing we needed was a progressive trying to wear a Republican cloth coat as president of the United States."

J. D. Hayworth is exactly right. McCain is worse than the Senate twins from Maine.

How stupid would the people of AZ have to be to believe that McCain is now against illegal immigration?

McCain vs. Obama is the question:

Do you want to sprint to the left with the speed of the current 100 yard dash world record holder?

Or would you rather sprint to the left with the speed of the 100 yard dash world record holder from 1980?

Both of them would have lead us left - the only difference is the speed at which they’d do it.

On many issues, he would have been. He would have been radically better as commander in chief, but disastrous on domestic issues. It would have done further damage to the country and the party.

LOL. If Mccain had won, the tea parties would be next to non-existent. And it is the tea parties and the rediscovery of the demand for constitutional limits of government that is the last best hope. McCain and Palin would be busy pushing amnesty and cap and trade instead of ObamaCare and teacher bailouts. But the Bachmanns of the world would be muted.

It's true. McCain would have continued the socialist status-quo. There would have been no Tea Party movement.

By the time 2012 rolled around the GOP would have been about as influential as the Know-Nothing Party. Palin's future would have been toast.

Note: This is the AP trying to smeaar JD and make McCain look good. Time and time again the liberal media keeps trying to nail JD and help McCain. It is obvious that McCain is a Democrat.

“At least McCain loves America!”

.
Not too sure of that.

He wears the same globalist pin on his lapel as Hitlery does.

There have always been many willing to embrace socialism as long as it arrives slowly, and wears their little team jersey.

McStain fully earned this statement years ago.

"In some ways, he would have been."

My thoughts on McCain has been that I don't trust a person who speaks without their lips moving. It's like he is always talking through his teeth.

The sellout within your own ranks, can do much more harm than the enemy.

You can rally against your enemy. The sellout will rally your own troops against your own team.

Who is supporting John McCain’s return to Washington, D.C.?

Nuff said...

Go J.D.

In a way, it's good that Obama won. People need to experience just how morally bankrupt socialism is. And also the true face of the Democrats have been exposed. No more can they hide behind the moderate or "New Democrat" crap anymore.

All the idiots that voted for Obama are getting their just rewards. That wouldn't have happened under McCain.

It's the old I'd rather die quick and painlessly than bleed slowly.

I am sorry JD, you are now desperate.

As extremists usually are.

We need the venerable John McCain in the senate because he is capable to reach a hand across the isle and get along.

John will get 'er done if reelected.

John is the bridge to the leftists that make sure things get done in D.C.

J.D. Would just disrupt the harmony.
