'Tea party' groups plan Arizona rally against illegal immigration (Sharron Angle to rally for J.D.)
The Washington Post ^ | 2010-08-11 | Sandhya Somashekhar

"Tea party" groups are planning a large rally on Sunday in Arizona, near the Mexican border, to support both the state's hard-line stance on illegal immigration and the political campaign of the local talk show host who is challenging Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).

Candidate J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman turned conservative radio commentator, is one of dozens of scheduled speakers for the morning rally on a remote ranch about 100 miles south of Tucson.

Others include Sharron Angle, the Republican challenging Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.), and Sue Krentz, the wife of a rancher killed near the rally site. The unsolved shooting death of Rob Krentz, who had spoken out on the problem of illegal immigration, prompted the state legislature to pass a law this year empowering police to question people if there is a "reasonable suspicion" they are illegal immigrants.

"We're trying to stand behind Governor [Jan] Brewer while the federal government is proceeding with its lawsuit challenging Arizona's right to protect its own borders," said Tim Selaty Sr., vice president of a tea party group called United We Stand for Americans.

Selaty said the group timed the rally to have maximum impact on Arizona's Aug. 24 Republican primary. Hayworth, a hard-liner on illegal immigration, is challenging McCain, who until recently had been a strong voice for creating a path to citizenship for those in the country illegally.

I really wish we had the time to get there to put the RINO down.

Time to retire McLame, ugh.

Here’s hoping that McLame soon joins the ranks of the unemployed. Go J.D.!

She , as usual , led the pack, as she was down there supporting Governor Brewer and the anti illegal immigration movement weeks ago.

If you want me to contact Sharron Angle's campaign to request an official statement, simply because you want to nitpick, then fine, let me know.

For the sake of accuracy and since you offered, you should do that. Thanks in advance.

It’ll be nice to see a boat load of real concerned Americans rallying, with American flags waving, for true border concerns, instead of bus loads of fake people from LA.

Anyone that supports John McCain supports amnesty.

..An anti-Palin bash, at post #4, on a thread that isn’t even about Palin.”

Ditto.

Hayworth is just hitching a ride at this event. This event is NOT about Hayworth. The drivers are Tea Party anti illegal immigration and support regarding the ranch where the lady’s husband was killed. It’s always predictable to see the Obama/MSM fellow travelers & PDSers slip in their cheap shots at Sarah Palin. Of course they are always in the closet when it comes to professing their potential POTUS candidate of choice.

To be sure, Hayworth is a better candidate, but from Rasmussen reports: “The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely GOP Primary Voters in the state shows McCain attracting 54% of the vote, while Hayworth earns 34%.” Real Tea Party members know how to read the tea leaves. This is typical delusional behavior by the poster and his/her (#4 addressees) - when your candidate is a goner, go after a winner aka Sarah Palin. Reality check time!

.

Help Texas watch her borders.
Watch live on 14 cameras and report illegal alien invaders.
Night cams in operation

http://www.blueservo.net/index.php?error=nlg

Does it work? Yes.
Best time to catch them is at night.
Recently caught on cam and reported:
String of illegals running through brush with backpacks
Numerous sightings of boats crossing the river
Numerous vehicles late at night in isolated areas
IMMENSELY satisfying

.

Yes, thank you for offering to do this! I have made a few generous donations to Sharon Angle's campaign and would very much like to know if she's rallying for J.D. Hayworth. Thanks in advance for doing this in a timely manner.

McCain, who until recently had been a strong voice for creating a path to citizenship for those in the country illegally.

McCain has not changed his view on "path to citizenship." He just calls it something else, i.e., "regularization of status."

To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?

Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here. It is so important that yes, people follow the rules so that people can be treated equally and fairly in this country.
