"Tea party" groups are planning a large rally on Sunday in Arizona, near the Mexican border, to support both the state's hard-line stance on illegal immigration and the political campaign of the local talk show host who is challenging Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.).
Candidate J.D. Hayworth, a former congressman turned conservative radio commentator, is one of dozens of scheduled speakers for the morning rally on a remote ranch about 100 miles south of Tucson.
Others include Sharron Angle, the Republican challenging Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.), and Sue Krentz, the wife of a rancher killed near the rally site. The unsolved shooting death of Rob Krentz, who had spoken out on the problem of illegal immigration, prompted the state legislature to pass a law this year empowering police to question people if there is a "reasonable suspicion" they are illegal immigrants.

"We're trying to stand behind Governor [Jan] Brewer while the federal government is proceeding with its lawsuit challenging Arizona's right to protect its own borders," said Tim Selaty Sr., vice president of a tea party group called United We Stand for Americans.
Selaty said the group timed the rally to have maximum impact on Arizona's Aug. 24 Republican primary. Hayworth, a hard-liner on illegal immigration, is challenging McCain, who until recently had been a strong voice for creating a path to citizenship for those in the country illegally.

The Tea Party supports JD.
For some reason, you left this out ...
Question: Do you then favor an amnesty for
the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants?
Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty. You know, people have got to follow the rules. They’ve got to follow the bar, and we have got to make sure that there is equal opportunity and those who are here legally should be first in line for services being provided and those opportunities that this great country provides.

This is amnesty. Any legislation that allows people to stay and work here is amnesty. The back of the line begins in their home country, not here. Why do you think the interviewer nailed her down with the next question?
Question: To clarify, so you support a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants?
Palin: I do because I understand why people would want to be in America. To seek the safety and prosperity, the opportunities, the health that is here.
If she had said only "No. I do not." to the first question, then great. But as you can see, she then continued on to dilute that "No" and qualify it by saying (paraphrased), "Well, I'm against total amnesty [whatever that means to her], but I'm FOR some form of amnesty that would give the 12 or 13 million undocumented immigrants [err...hello Univision reporter? The correct term is illegal aliens] a path to citizenship.
Sounds like an amnesty supporter to me.
But anyway, enough about Palin. I think we both agree that McLame needs to go away.
Angle needs to decide what she is running for..is it the head gadfly of the tea parties or US Senator of Nevada...Angle get your bootie back home and get to work..
“The Tea Party supports JD.”
And so you really believe that the focus of the rally near the border was for JD?
JD was one of the leaders of the rally. His presence helped get more coverage of the event. JD has made illegal immigration and amnesty the centerpiece of his campaign. He is the direct opposite of the “Amnesty King,” John McCain.
What is Angle’s campaign saying about her “rallying” for J.D. Hayworth?
A great opportunity for grassroots/American Tea Party groups to do the same in their hometowns all across America.
Pennsylvanians are going to be on the street Sunday demonstrating support for Arizona.
God bless Sharron Angle!
Rock and Roll with Sharron Angle!
Hey Patriot08, I’m a Virtual Deputy...I’ve busted a few myself. Everybody should enlist.
And can you believe that one of our fellow FR members (I know who- but I won’t name him) was dirty enough to report me for ‘spamming’ because I posted the plea to help Tx watch her borders in several differents threads?
Not true
