California Republican U.S. Senate candidate Carly Fiorina has increased her lead over Democratic incumbent Barbara Boxer to five percentage points according to a new CBS 5 KPIX-TV poll released Thursday, which also shows gubernatorial candidates Democrat Jerry Brown and Republican Meg Whitman in a dead heat.
The CBS 5 poll, conducted by the research firm SurveyUSA, showed Fiorina edging Boxer 47 percent to 42 percent, compared to a CBS 5 poll one month ago showing Fiorina over Boxer 47 to 45 percent.
The poll results indicated Fiorina's support was essentially unchanged among men and women, young and old, white and Hispanic while Boxer had lost small ground among men, younger voters, and independents.
11% undecided or other candidates?
Let’s start a pool to guess when Babs will announce she’s leaving politics in order to “spend more time with her family”.I say October 1.
If she loses the Carly, the military men who put their lives in harm’s way to protect her soft, flabby, pampered hide can go back to just calling her “ma’am”.
One of the most disgusting and embarassing displays of self-congratulatory, narcissistic hubris was Barbara Boxhead dressing down a general for calling her “ma’am”, insisting that he address her as “Senator”.
By God’s grace, that jerk won’t be a Senator after Jan 20, 2011.
Not a fan of Carly, but I hope she wipes the floor with antiquated Barbara. Better yet, I hope she grabs her wig and wipes her a$$ with it.
Still too close for comfort. Remember the sage words of talk show host/author Hugh Hewitt...”If it isn’t close they can’t cheat.”
Boot Boxer!!! I could care less if Fiorina is a RINO
Wow, this is from left-wing KPIX. Boxer is in real trouble.
Oooh, let me put on my prediction hat... I predict that in September, Diane Feinstein will go around and spout off a load of uber liberal stuff, make outlandish statements, and all around make herself look about as unstable as possible, as well as drop hints that she won’t be running for the Senate again.
Barbara Boxer, who pulled the same stunt to save Feinstein’s seat last time, will speak eloquently about all the incredible needs and challenges that California faces, and how she’s going to redirect her energy towards meeting those changes, which is all the more important now that Feinstein will be leaving with all her experience and knowledge...
Will the voters buy this wooden nickel again? Donno.
Drat it all! We’ve gotta stop this NOW. Let’s start a conservative third party, and split the conservative vote!
LOL! I second that.
I have been saying this for MORE than a Year now and it’s been in my TAGline for that long.
2010 will be a Political TSUNAMI.
100+ seats will change over.
This isn’t 1994 with 54 seats. It will be TWICE that.
The sad news is, we have a shit load of RINOs who will win too....
We need to be READY to press them HARD and EARLY.
But mark my words.... STUNNED will not even come close to describing the atmosphere on election night.
Every single leading race, the GOP wins.
Every single LEANING race, the GOP wins.
Every single TOSS UP, falls TO the GOP that night.
HALF of the Leans Dem, FALL to the GOP as well.
And a couple of SURE DEMS will be unemployed after the recounts!
T S U N A M I !!!
DEMOCRATS ANNIHILATED IN ELECTION HOLOCAUST! <-— Headline Wednesday Morning.
Gargoyles everywhere are in panic mode!
Are you??? LOL!
Ms. Boxer, Ma’am does this mean we won’t have to call you Senator Boxer any longer. Sounds good to me!
It will be really fun to see this poor excuse for a senator gone from the Senate.
Your post is the only one that I have seen that accurately describes what is about to happen. It will be a bloodbath.
I’m sure I have read here that it was all over for Carly.
