Well, I think many people responded to the expression of frustration and rage that we feel when we see the economy going over a cliff. This guy is obviously not a good poster boy for what is really bothering folks, but folks are looking for a way to express their anger.

I'm changing my view of this as more of these details emerge. At first it sounded like he snapped because a passenger refused instructions and hit him with luggage. This indicates he was the instigator.
