Army accused of threatening to 'Taser' officer
WorldNetDaily ^ | August 13, 2010 | Bob Unruh

Supporters of a decorated Army officer who is facing a series of charges for questioning the legitimacy of orders in the chain of command under Barack Obama as commander in chief are accusing the Army of threatening to "taser" the physician.

The claim comes from the American Patriot Foundation, which is generating support for Lt. Col. Terry Lakin.

He appeared at an Army hearing to be arraigned on the various charges last Friday.

It was at that hearing, the foundation reports, that the threat was made.

The foundation reported, "The afternoon before the hearing, LTC Steven Brodsky told LTC Lakin's counsel that Lakin must report hours before the hearing to his duty post at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in order for him to be 'transported under escort' to make sure he showed up at the arraignment 'to avoid embarrassing his unit."

I am convinced that Obama is an illegal occupant of the White House. He needs to do the O.J. “perp walk” with handcuffs.

Thanks for posting this RD727.

Since disobeying the lawful orders of his Commanding Officer, I wonder how many other orders Lakin HAS followed?

If he’s followed just one, doesn’t that make his entire argument moot?

“Why did LTC Lakin follow that particular order?”

I would not want to speculate on that. However, getting Tasered is something I would personnaly want to avoid.

“....lawful orders......”

That is what must be ascertained.

I would want to have an article 32 investigation conducted immediately.

I would not want to speculate on that.

Why not? What orders should a soldier follow when the President doesn't qualify for office?

In what service did you check the ID of people who gave you orders? I was in for 28 years and never asked to see someone’s ID (short of guard duty or manning an entry control point).

Part of his defense is that his orders are “trickle down” (my words) from the President.

If he’s obeying some, then he’s filtering which ones are “trickling down” to him.

It’ll be interesting to see which of the charges they’re going to find him guilty of.

...also, a hallway conversation heard third party around the corner is hardly a threat.

He should be more “threatened” by the dishonorable discharge he’s going to get.

It’s very easy for this problem to be resolved. All Onada needs to do is call a press conference-something he likes to do anyway so long as no hard questions are asked—and produce a credible document.

But how does that resolve anything for Lakin?

It wouldn't change what Lakin's already done, or the charges he's facing. The court-martial would simply continue on exactly the same.

Probably: WND is simply wrong, again. Or mis-attributing quotes, again. Or misrepresenting the actual event, again.

It doesn't at all disqualify him.

There are two categories for citizens:

Whether his father was a foreign-born exchange student is irrelevant. He did not require naturalization to be a citizen.

So back to the question...you claim that if any person in the chain of command is found to be ineligible, the whole structure beneath him must freeze or mill around aimlessly? Can those junior personnel issue no orders of their own?

And if you and the gentle Dr. Lakin claim that there is no legal authority for any orders, then you are accusing every commanding person in our military of issuing illegal orders! Has he complied with any orders since the inauguration? How could he, if he supposedly believes they would be illegal? Have his previous orders expired?

If an officer whom you did not know showed up in your fighting position and ordered you to do something, would you enquire as to his authority to take the hill? would you ask him to show ID?

By your reasoning, that alone wouldn't get me out of my foxhole. By your claims, I'd be derelict if I didn't demand valid ID from everyone in the chain of command. LTC Lakin isn't asking for ID of the officer giving him orders--he's questioning the chain above the origin of the orders.

BTW, have you checked out any of the addresses Orly Taitz claimed were ones given fraudulently by the guy in the White House?

I have. It took only the very first one to discover she hadn't done any checking of the Internet search they ran. A Mr. Barack Obama did, indeed, live at the address I checked first...

I'm glad Orly Taitz has been fined, but I wish it would stop her reckless slinging of falsehoods. I think she's now keeping it up even more because she has sucker more well-meaning Americans for donations.

In any case, you think it makes perfect sense for a soldier fighting in Afghanistan to take direction from Arab-looking person with an accent, wearing a US uniform displaying senior rank whom he’s never seen before?

So you are questioning whether our top military officers are accepting and giving illegal orders? AFAIK, LTC never received a direct order from the CINC.

You completely disreard the eligibility argument.

To be elligible to be POTUS you MUST be a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN of the US of A - as Per article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution. Period.

Natural born = BOTH parents US citizens (either natural born or naturalized) AND born on US Soil.

By Zero’s own admission, His Father was NEVER a US Citizen -Dad was ALWAYS Kenyan. Therefore: Zero does not meet the Natural born requirement.

Get your facts straight and read the Constitution.
