The Defense Department says that only about a quarter of the troops sent a survey on gays in the military have responded.

KEYWORDS: gays; homosexualagenda; military; survey
Two options come to mind. Either they "lost" the surveys that expressed the opposite of their views or they're sending out more to skew the results. Either way, we won't see this in the US media anytime soon.

Why should they care enough to respond anyway, the decision has been made.

1. Voicing a negative opinion will adversely affect your career.
2. The decision has already been made.

Maybe that survey can be traced back to the soldiers and they could be “punished” or at least put through “reeducation camp” to “straighten” out there incorrect views of unnatural behavior.

This PC cr*p is destroying, not only the freedom in this country, but every institution (particularly the Universities)that dare put up an argument that disagrees with the “correct” way of thinking.

It is destroying all our freedoms—particularly the freedom of religion, the freedom of thought and the freedom to raise your children with a Christian ideology.

That sounds about right, that is about how many votes are submitted as well. No Conspiracy here.

Just a combination of solders thinking that the President doesn’t give a damn about what they think and a USPS union employees.

Such “surveys” are used mainly for two reasons:

1- To identify possible future troublemakers, i.e. those who might oppose the predetermined policy.

2- To spin the collected data to “prove” the program is “working”.

My worry is that the warriors are in Iraq and Afghanistan and the surveys returned will be from the REMFs sitting at xxx AFB, taking their college courses.

These a$$hats can sent surveys in a heartbeat, but can't get election ballots to our troops.

I'd like to see a survey titled "Morons in government" and see the responses. But then again, that survey will happen November 2, 2010 at our polling places. Just can't wait.

I would enjoy watching the only real poll that matters and that would be active duty personnel quitting the military. Think about it, 99 weeks of unemployment and no one shooting at you. That and you don’t have coddle a bunch of mouthy fags.

“...1. Voicing a negative opinion will adversely affect your career...”

EXACTLY. No matter what part of a .gov concern you may work for, surveys are *NEVER* anonymous.

I once had a mental giant of a manager ask “Why didn’t you fill out your anonymous survey”?
Me: “You don’t know what “anonymous” means, do ya”?
Manager: “Yes I do”!!!
Me: “Go look up the word and get back to me on my survey”.

Never heard another word about it.

I would have lost my survey - probably in the same place I’d lose my re-up papers...

It’s not any surprise that the survey failed. They specifically targetted pro-homosexual troops to try and get the result they wanted. Then they asked leading questions to try and get soldiers to agree that homsexuality is some ‘normal’ lifestyle choice. The whole thing was an absurd joke that Obama was trying to use before he forces open homosxuality on the military.

Everyone needs to note that this survey is being imposed on the troops BEFORE DADT is even repealed. There’s still the slim chance that it won’t be if the Senate balks.

I wold not have responded. There are consequences in the military for expressing wrong ơpinions on a subject the hierarchy cares a lot about. One can not be confident that responses are truly confidential, no matter how the questions are received.

My wife (0-4) turned in her survey and could of cared less if was anonymous or not. Principle over career, too bad the military (High ranking, both enlisted and officers) has become one big political cluster F*

As a general proposition, silence is implied consent. If they don’t return the forms that may indicate they aren’t nearly as upset over the issue as others would wish them to be.
