Tempted to agree with you. The mosque has become a far bigger issue than it should've been.
But that's because, upon being approached with the plan, the city authorities should've nipped it in the bud.
That they didn't is an affront to common sense.
Patterson, Bloomberg, Obama and all their ilk can spin it any way they want, but allowing the mosque is a victory for the militant Islamist fundamentalists and their twisted fatwas and sick jihads. I prefer they have zero victories and infinite defeats.
IMHO, it should be Kelo’d...(eminent domain-ed)... and the site be used to build a shelter for battered or threatened Islamic women.
