Poll shows Palin not the clear Tea Party favorite
CNN ^ | 8-13-10 | Alexander Mooney

She's appeared at Tea Party rallies across the country and long been considered the movement's de facto leader, but a new CNN poll out Friday suggests Sarah Palin isn't the group's clear favorite for the White House.

Yes, but they are dismissive of her, thus trying to manipulate Newt and Mitt to the focus of our attention and trying to make believe they are much more viable than Palin.

Actually, so many people are swayed by the lamestream that they don't FORM opinions--they absorb them through osmosis from the MSM agenda.

Then, when the GOP course is set, with a bad/miserable candidate, like McCain, the lamestream set about disparaging the candidate until opinions are once again swayed.

Remember Fred Thompson? How the media buzzed about Fred every day, polling him above all the others--UNTIL THE DAY HE SAID HE WOULD RUN. Then they gathered like buzzards and ran hm down 24/7 as too old, too uninterested in the Presidency (read--would not sell his soul or kill his firstborn to become President); his candidacy was going nowhere, etc.

Now Fred would have made an excellent President, but they took his laid back, thoughtful approach as old and slow, and completely ignored his analytical answers to their usual "gotcha" questions on policy matters as immaterial. They turned people off Fred because they didn't want his conservative policies in the WH, and gave us Juan McCain, who would have lost in a landslide but for Palin.

Everytime I think of McCain saying things about Obama like "he is fully qualified" "he would make a good President", etc. I wonder if Soros bought either him or his campaign directors off or if he truly was brainwashed and programmed in Vietnam to be the Manchurian candidates support system.

“”Interesting that only 2% of the sample were active tea partiers, and another 26% were favorable toward the tea party but not active. 21% of the sample was opposed to the tea party. The rest didn’t know or didn’t care.””

LOL...that is a joke...even for biased polling.

“Myth Rodent is a socialist, Sarah Palin supports ultra-left wing socialist McCain. As far as I am concerned they are both out of the running.”

The 3% of people who think like that are already calculated out of the polls lol.

The people who will have a say in the GOP nomination will be voting for Romney and Palin. Conservatives will vote for Palin in droves.

Interesting that only 2% of the sample were active tea partiers, and another 26% were favorable toward the tea party but not active. 21% of the sample was opposed to the tea party. The rest didn't know or didn't care. Puts a little different slant on things to know the facts and not just read the headline.

The internals also say that 47% of conservatives either don't support or have no opinion of the tea party movement.

Does anybody here think that might not be accurate?

We’ve got a guy like Obama in there, and the best we can come up with is the last three stinky fish in the barrel.

I'm starting to play closer attention to Chris Christie--an energetic, focused, hard-nosed, and articulate guy who can smack the left harder than they than can smack him.

Fantastic post, BC.

No one, and I mean NO ONE, on the current political scene (or even on the horizon) has the combination of courage and charisma that she has. That combination, in the hands of a committed conservative, is a locomotive of destruction for the secular-statist agenda.

I like what I’ve seen of him too. Nice mention.

There are going to be some decent candidates rising before the end of 2011. I’m keeping my powder dry.

You are an active member of the Tea Party movement 2%
You support the Tea Party movement but you are not an active member 26%
You have no view of the Tea Party one way or the other 49%
You oppose the Tea Party movement 21%
No opinion 3%No opinion 3%

Bob J, can you possibly be more dishonest? Only 2% of this poll claims to be an active member of the Tea Party movement. Only 28% either support or are active members.

73% of the polled group either oppose, have no view, or have no opinion.

Your headline is a distortion of the worst kind.

The problem with faux conservatives is that most are nothing more than cult followers and idols worshippers.

Following their idols no matter what the idol says or does. I call it PDS in the Palin followers.

She is far from a conservative, she avoids addressing most conservative issues.

"Poll shows Palin not the clear Tea Party favorite"

Ho, hum...So what? Now they're bent because we don't march in lockstep like they do? Well, my sweet little gray-haired mama used to say, "Just consider the source..." Works for me.

Umm cube, I don’t think you got my drift...my point is that it should be an easy choice between Palin and Mittens, given that Palin is the only conservative.
