If you dont know the back story, Eric Boehlert of liberal media watchdog Media Matters fame has decided to engage in a back-and-forth Twitter fight with a few of the conservative and libertarian figures in the media. At first it was Andrew Breitbart, but since Red Eye host Greg Gutfeld announced intentions to build a gay bar near the proposed Ground Zero mosque, Boehlert has determined he would go after Gutfeld.
This failed miserably with Breitbart, so its even more confusing as to why Boehlert would pick a fight with a guy that has a TV show, albeit at 3 a.m. However, that just means there are less rules Gutfeld has to play, while at best Boehlert can fight back in a three-minute segment on MSNBCs The ED Show, which sadly has less viewers than Red Eye.

This is one show I WILL NOT watch, just plain silly.
They won me over by making fun of Media Matters.
Now I know I’m old. I didn’t understand half of what those avatars were saying, and I’m very computer literate.
What? What? You don’t have a neon headband?
LOL
Me neither. And I lose respect for the various Fox anchors who appear on Red Eye from time to time — especially the women. I click over to Forensic Files and go to sleep watching that rather than be insulted and scandalized by all the gay banter on Red Eye.
He’s a touch more liberal than I (mostly about gay issues) but I absolutely love watching Red Eye!
Red Eye rocks!! If you don’t get it, it’s obvious you’re a racist transgendered homophobe!!
Heh.
Seriously, I like Gutfeld’s plans for the Islamic gay bar next to the Ground Zero mosque.
That's the only thing he's proposed that I like. I thought that a doggie day care and dog park on the other side and a Vietnamese market selling live pigs across the street would be good additions to the neighborhood.
Red Eye hits the libs right between the eyes. They are utterly humourless when it comes to fun being made of them. Ridicule, belittling, mockery, puts them on defense. Think Alinsky! Gutfeld is a vital weapon that fires back at the SNL; Daley Show; Bill Mahr crowd. Yeah, he dances on the line of propriety at times, but he is effective.
Red Eye should replace any number of Fox primetime shows. It ranges from genius to just plain goofy. I love it.
