PANAMA CITY BEACH — Larry and Joan Epperly’s 34th anniversary will always be the one where the first family dropped by for ice cream.
On Sunday, President Barack Obama, first lady Michelle and their daughter Sasha stopped by Bruster’s Real Ice Cream on Thomas Drive as they headed to Naval Support Activity Panama City. The Epperlys have owned the ice cream shop for about three years and celebrated their anniversary by serving the first family through the walk-up window of their business.
“What an anniversary present,” Joan Epperly said.

At the rate they go on vacation, every American will have his or her own “I saw the Obamas while on vacation” story.

Wait until the ice cream business owners get a load of DeathCare costs. They’ll have a more realistic and sober response to the Muslim in Chief as time grinds by under this regime.

I wasn’t comfortable writing about it while they were there for security reasons. But now that they’re gone – they just got back to Washington – let me introduce you to the Bay Point Marriott Golf Resort & Spa. A relatively modest choice for Obama-style travel.First of all, it has a policy, to which it seems some people get an exception. PETS ARE NOT ALLOWED. Unless their name is Bo Obama . . .
I’m confused because more than one news report said that they were staying in Palm Beach. And that really raised my hackles because Palm Beach is on the Atlantic ocean, not on the Gulf side of FL.
Even so, Panama City is about as far away from that oil spill as you can get.
