CNN is the race channel. They are competeing for the few Black cable viewers with MSNBC. Every time you see it there is some lame race spot on it.

She voluntarily asked for it to be made inactive. She can reactivate it if she ever wants to.
Yes, a question like “When did you stop beating your wife?” which is an accusation contained within a question. We need to deal with facts, not innuendo. There is plenty of substance with which to criticize Queen Michelle without tossing around this matter. There is a difference between an inactive license and a suspended or revoked license. The latter implies wrongdoing, the former doesn’t.
I guess you have facts, also, about this? The law license matter is a red herring. It can come back to bite you, labeling you as a rumormonger without knowledge of the facts.
For your information, law licenses only have to be maintained if you are hanging out a shingle for attracting clients off the street, or will be appearing in court on behalf of your clients. Lots of attorneys do advisory work for a corporation or organization and never appear in court so they don’t need to maintain their licenses. Law licenses are expensive, costing several hundred dollars a year, require continuing education annually, malpractice insurance, client bank trust accounts, and often involve pro bono obligations, and/or other fees. If you are not required to maintain it, you have no reason to want to continue doing so. To my knowledge, Michelle never had a job where she had to appear in court. Then she had her children, saw her husband elected to public office, and worked for a hospital corporation, not as a lawyer but as a vice-president of community relations or something. She fits right into the category of people who commonly let their licenses to inactive.
As I have said earlier, there are plenty of things to criticize Michelle Obama about. Letting her license go inactive isn’t one of them. (Unless you have proof she was threatened with an investigation and so let it lapse. Then I’m listening.)
