I agree that that is a big part of the problem. When I hear a politician say “public service” I gag. The Clintons are shining examples of “public servants” who were able to throw a $2 mil.+ wedding for their daughter, courtesy of their years of “public service.” I want public service to be like military service. The person gives up their normal life for 2, 4 or 6 years, whatever the term of office is for their position, and does the peoples business. They put their lives on hold and make a sacrifice, like those in the military who serve. These entrenched lifetime politicians growing rich off their “public service” have to go.
Hmmm? Maybe save time by simply shooting them on sight :-)
But seriously after both the American Revolution and the U.S. Civil War many thousands on the losing side self-exiled themselves to other countries.
